  1. Delicious! Went on Friday afternoon for lunch with a coworker. I had the lobster roll with chips and a drink and it came it around $22 which is not that bad for a lobster roll in NYC. The roll was so buttery and amazing and the lobster was fresh and tasty. I will definitely be going back, maybe I will try a different location next time!

  2. solid and consistent. as good as the other locations. no complaints at all!

  3. Let me start with my bf is the best! He knew I was getting hangry and I needed a little something to hold me over until dinner.  We had planned for a stroll through Central Park on a absolutely gorgeous summer day after visiting MoMa.  He suggested the Plaza Food Hall knowing I would like my options…and was he on spot with this choice!

As we walked into the Plaza Food Hall I felt like I was entering heaven.  With cases of cupcakes, cookies, macaroons and shops selling pizzas, sushi, pasta, pho, sandwiches and seafood you couldn't go wrong just about anywhere.

We chose to eat at Luke's and with the price point we figured the best decision was to try the sampler.  With a half roll of shrimp, lobster and crab we had a little of everything.  It came with a drink, pickle and bag of chips.  Disclaimer…when I say little, I truly  mean little.  I was a bit sad and hence the loss of a star for what felt like a tease of a bite for each roll.  The seafood was all fresh and the roll was buttery and soft.  But I do wish that the roll was larger.  I realized that even if I had chosen to just order one specific roll a whole roll was still small.  We also tried the clam chowder which was creamy and rich, just what I was craving.

    Overall, a great selection!!

  4. I had this once before and decided to try it again on my way back downtown. There wasn't a line so I was able to order right away. I immediately noticed that the prices were different from a year or two ago. A lobster roll is now $17 so my meal of 1 lobster roll, chips, and soda rang up to a whopping $21. A lot, isn't it? Well, I managed to find a seat and have my late lunch. I gotta give it to them. The flavors are pretty damn good and the bread has this light crunch as you take a bite. It's a decent amount of lobster meat but not sure how I feel about it costing $17. I haven't tried the other menu items yet so I can't speak to those. I gave this 4 mainly because the folks were nice to deal with and I got my order fast!

  5. It is a nice upscale high class food court to enter to reach Luke's Lobster. I order a crab roll & soup combo which came with clam chowder soup, chips and a drink. Total= $22….for lunch

The crab roll is serve cold & didn't have any flavor. They pride themselves stating their food comes from Maine but I think they should have gotten it from City Island so it could have tasted better……my opinion.
The drink I had was blueberry lemonade……awful
    Chips….ok
    Soup…..amazing

I would not come back here but this is just my personal opinion……….I had better

  6. I been to the Plaza Food Hall dozens of times and I mostly get a Lobster Roll from Luke's if not a Lady M cake

Luke's is the best lobster roll I've had so far, you can clearly see the quality of the large lobster chunks, claw and knuckle meat too, it seemed like the best Maine has to offer. The texture of the lobster was well balanced with the carefully toasted roll and you'll taste celery salt with thyme, lemon butter, and some mayo in the roll if anything you would say it's not big enough. They have a deal where you can get drink and chips or slaw and pickle for $3 more. Lot's of people say it pricey but it's cheaper than Red Hook Lobster and I think they are better tasting including the slaw.

I also recommend the Taste of Maine (1/2 Lobster Roll, 1/2 Shrimp Roll, 1/2 Crab Roll. and you can still upgrade with a drink, chips, & pickle.  I still have not tried the New England Clam Chowder so I can't tell you how that is but one winter day I will.

They also got the buddy deal, Noah's Ark, two half lobster rolls, two half crab rolls, two half shrimp rolls. w/ two sodas, two chips & two pickle.

You have a few sitting spots but don't plan in bringing a party with you since chances are you will not all get seated.

  7. I love their lobster rolls, and the shrimp rolls are amazing as well – I might even like the sauce on those better than the lobster. These guys also show up at local festivals a lot, which is awesome.

  8. Taste of Maine- half lobster roll, half crab roll, half shrimp roll with one soda, one pickle and a bag of chips
I loved every bite of the rolls. The bread was buttery and toasted. The seafood was fresh. Of the three rolls, I loved the crab the most- the meat was sweet. It's definitely pricey, but worth it.
