Meme’s Healthy Nibbles
“They have tons of vegan options and I'm so happy because now i don't have to travel all the way to their other location in Park Slope to get my coconut lime cupcakes anymore!”
“It's reasonably priced, especially considering the quality of the food and the lack of similar options in the neighborhood.”
“The coffee smelled delicious and looking at all the folks on their laptops, the WiFi connection looked reliable.”

Having previously raved about this cafe as I was only here a few days ago, I was very disappointed to find myself still waiting for my food order (a croissant) more than 30 mins later. I had requested this to be warmed up/toasted only to find the food arrived cold. When I went back to the counter, one of the other owners refused to warm it up as 'it would take 15 mins'?! The cafe was packed and everyone had received their orders except us. Not happy
Wonderful, fresh, organic food and juice bar – they even have raw and live food nibbles!
After yoga at Urban Asanas, I want something clean but also tasty and filling. Meme's does the job every time. I get the "I Am Alive" fresh organic juice and then – depending on the time of day – a breakfast sandwich or a salad – all made to order.
You order and purchase at the counter but then they will bring your food to your table.
The best thing about this place is that it's food-flexible, meaning you can go with a vegan friend and you'll both find something delicious to eat. Or if you're like me and can't make up your mind about to meat or not to meat – here you don't have to. I've had the Kale and Quinoa salad vegan and with organic grilled chicken – either is very tasty.
Plus, non-diary ice cream! In a cone! But I just did 2 hours of yoga so I earned it, right?!?
UPDATE: I give it 4 stars cause they can get a little backed up. Always friendly and apologetic but the delicious food sometimes take a while to come out.
I can't even begin to say how nice the staff is here. They are so polite. The man there talked to me, assisted me and asked me how my food was. He was friendly and funny. It definitely made my visit very pleasant. He made me a great Cappuccino. Which he promised me I wouldn't be disappointed with. And I wasn't. (BTW I am a big fan of good Cappuccino.) The food was good. The veggie omelette had lots of vegetables. It was tasty. It had enough salt. Which I can say is a plus. Some places I go to seem to leave out the salt.. Food without salt is just yuck. The grits could have had more butter but they were pretty good. The restaurant is VERY clean. And I was actually on my way someplace else but decided to come here instead because when I passed by it looked so nice. The restaurant really does present itself well. One more thing they have a discount card so if you make so many purchases you get a freebie.
I see this place as a fresh, organic juice bar that offers healthy small meals and breakfast sandwiches on the go for your morning commute. Since this is a Sunday, I sat down and had the buttermilk waffles with strawberry butter and fresh strawberries.
The waffles are thin but are toasted well and have the perfect amount of crispiness. Another plus- they're not dry and because they're thin, they don't give you that heavy feeling when you're done. The strawberry butter is a mixture of strawberry jam and butter. It would taste that much more decadent if the butter were warm. You can see clumps of cold butter in the mixture. It's not exciting to look at, but it's a great option to have.
I ordered coffee with cream and honey but they mixed up my order and gave me a latte instead. It's not bitter and has a touch of creaminess. I'm not complaining.
I had a smoothie on another trip here. I waited a while but it was prepared with fresh ingredients and the prices are on par with the area. Most likely I'll stop by again.
Me: Can I get a BLT please?
Cashier: What kind of bacon? turkey? soy? or gluten-free
Me: *blank stare* Regular bacon..none of those choices are regular bacon
Cashier: Ok turkey bacon it is.
I was prepared for a horrible BLT meal (cause turkey bacon ain't real bacon in my book–thanks Canada), but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was..crispy bacon, good amount of it on my sandwich, and the avocado pieces made this an enjoyable turkey bacon BLT experience.
-Other than that I enjoyed the fact that this place looks like a hipster/Williamsburg sammich spot.
I'll be back
Pretty decenct juice and wraps/sandwiches. Makes me feel healthy whenever I eat her. Staff is nice though sometimes takes a long time to get juice.
Veggie burger and BLTS are really damn delicious. Just wish the juices came out cold and not like weird room temperature?
Tasteless food that one could make at home.
Sorry to be harsh but this is a $10/dish vegan and vegetarian place with a good menu and I would normally expect a higher quality of preparation.
We tried a wrap and a salad and a smoothie. All of them felt poorly done and lacked taste.
It's not bad. It's just bland and boring.
Sorry. Don't recommend.
I really really wanted to like this place…but I simply couldn't. Everything is somehow slightly less than great, taste wise? How? I had a red velvet cupcake the first time I came here and it was…bad? Like, this aint too difficult yall. I also had a ginger beverage which was the worst I've had (and I've had many). The space was also empty when I was there and is everytime I walk past. Maybe I'm missing something.
