Terri is absolutely awesome! I absolutely commend all these chains that are totally makin' it and introducing vegan food as something for everybody, whether or not they're vegan. I bought their Groupon (which they said they would honor at other Terri locations as well) and used it here (note that one groupon is $10, but any $9.88 salad/sandwich will come out to $10.75). I really like this location because it reminds me of a lot of the health-conscious, plant-based, super polished eateries in Florida, but it has the New York chic for sure. Everything was super clean and they were also offering samples outside.
I had their Kale Superfood, which is basically a bunch of kale, chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, quinoa, and sweet potato with lemon tahini dressing. It was delicious. I'm not quite a fan of fake meat, so if that's not your favorite either, I would definitely recommend going for this because who doesn't love sweet potatoes?
This location also offers other things like juices, smoothies, cookies, etc., which are all deliciously vegan!
Also, yes, let it be known that it is a vegan cafe, but if you're like me, you do the research before you go.
Verdict: Definitely swing by to pick up some food for your belly.
Deliberation: I saw this restaurant featured on the news and it piqued my interest. I swung by. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Melt. I fell in love.
Southwestern Chicken Melt:
It tastes just like chicken, except it's healthier because it doesn't have hormones and antibiotics pumped into it. The bun, guac, and corn in it was super deee-lish. I'd totally order it again. Like totally.
Deluxe Ginger Shot:
Ginger, lemon, and something that gave it heat (Cayenne, maybe?). Either way, it packed a punch and it woke me up. It had a nice kick to it. I'd recommend.
So why the four stars you may ask? I want to give this place five stars, but I can't since there's no bathroom. I need to wash my hands before and after I eat. I also have to pee and pooooooooooo every once in a while. I'd hate to be in the middle of a meal and then have an urgent call from Mother Nature. If it had a restroom I would have been super close to reaching Nirva.

Finding Terri was a nice surprise during my brief visit in the city.
Setup: This is a tiny shoppe. The are 6 high top seats along the window that over look Third Avenue. If there is a group of people ordering, the space will be tight, so take out might be the way to go. Daiya cheese is what they use.
Food: Nice selection of goods. For the wraps/sandwiches, there is a slight upcharge for gluten free tortilla for $0.92.
Smoothies: Small, but nice selection. Nice to see that there is no upcharge for requesting almond or coconut milk instead of soy. The almond delight is a nice sweet and filling drink.
Prices: Surprising reasonable for a vegan restaurant in NYC
Definitely worth a second visit if I'm in the area again.
I got the avocado and hummus wrap and it was extremely filling! The most impressive thing about the gluten free wrap is that is it held in place and tasted good (but a little on the dry side)! I wish the other "meats" were gluten free but they all have wheat mixed into it which stinks. My wrap was almost $12 which is not worth it, but there's a group on that is $12 for $20 worth of food and that makes it worth it.
I have been here a few times now and I really like it overall!
I'd suggest ordering the sandwiches because they are made right there right then. They are absolutely the best vegan sandwiches… Omg.. the "meatball" with "cheese" was amazing, better than real meat! The salad was just okay – it's not so special, the ones at salad places are better.. They are also just stored in the fridge, not like made just for you..
The place is very small, suitable for a quick bite or lunch to go.
Overall, it's good and healthy! I will come back again.
Had a good kale salad at terri. The only thing I didn't like was that the kale was dressed already so it got very soggy. The other salads are not dressed so better! They were nice and switched it for the southwest salad instead. This place is vegan so many choices on the menu for me.
When I found out that Terri was opening a location near my office I was more excited than Leo winning an oscar. Leo was like "yes, finally, btw I care about the environment" and I was like "YAAAAASSSS, FINALLY, also vegan food helps the environment"
We all know that there is nothing I love more than a vegan sandwich shop. I have been a huge fan of Blossom Du Jour for quite some time now, so I cannot help but compare the two. I ordered online for pickup and my order was ready when I arrived. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. To be fair, I do like Blossom du Jour's more. The sandwich cost $10 which is pretty hefty for a sandwich that didn't fill me (but to be fair, I, too, am pretty hefty). So, since there are no vegan sandwich places (that I know of) in Midtown East, I definitely see myself returning.
Solid smoothie place! Great for an afternoon pick me up. My favorites are the green power smoothie (kale, pear, banana, almond butter, and soy milk) and the almond delight (almond butter, raw cacao, banana, dates, cinnamon, and almond milk).
Food here is alright- I had the southwestern chicken melt and it was pretty decent.
