  1. My eyes (once again) have proven that their bigger than my tummy.
After I ordered my falafel which was made with a thick yet fluffy pita, and my bf ordered his Chicken gyro w/fries, the guy gave us two styrofoam small cups and told us it was for the salad bar.  I stuffed mine full of beets, cucumber & tomato salad, olives, cauliflower, and my lid wouldn't close.  My bf started laughing at me and I was determined to make it close, so I had to pick out some carrots and eat them while waiting for our order.
When we brought it home, the sandwiches were huge.  He really stuffed the falafel's in there well with the salad, hummus, and tahini sauce.  My bf's chicken gyro was really good, the chicken was nice and tender and flavorful.  I tasted some curry? on it too which was different but at least it wasn't bland grilled chicken.  It was yummy!  I wished they had Tzatziki sauce though.
Overall his chicken sandwich combo was $12 and my Falafel was only $4.  The salad bar was FREE.  I wish I had a bigger cup.  I ate my cup of salad bar goodies, but didn't finish my Falafel sandwich.  The Pita was just too thick.   Everything tasted fresh and I didn't get sick as someone else mentioned in another review.
Also the person was nice although when my bf asked for a Gyro, he said they only had Chicken.  Which is a bit strange cuz don't most places have chicken AND lamb?
Anyways service was quick and convenient and the Gyro's were better tasting than what we get from some Diners.

  2. Rego pita is an awesome place for those anytime hunger moments. I've been coming here for years and it's possibly one of my favorite places to get original delicious juicy shawarma. Israeli owned and maintained to be Glatt kosher, I've found myself craving this place more than any other pita joint. And that says a lot because I live in proximity to numerous other shawarma restaurants but this one takes the cake. Every order comes with a small golden crispy French fry tray and a plate of to choose of any of the 8 in house made salads of choice. Mix and match all you want. The staff is super kind and the owner is a great guy. Always greets you and very inviting. Needless to say, I never leave this place hungry.

  3. This place was much more popular when Platinum, the old gym was around instead of Netcost (read my review for that store when you get a chance), but it still hasn't lost its  appeal, at least to me.

About three blocks from my home, Rego Pita is the place to come when you're craving some shwarma and just a laid back casual atmosphere. Mostly, I take my food to go from here. The owner is cool and friendly and they have great specials. I usually get the baby chicken shwarma which comes with fries and a soda pop which I usually substitute for water. The special for this is just ten dollars. Which keeps the humans around coming by every once in a while.

I prefer this spot over many other shwarma joints around, because its just that good. Their pita is not too thick and their chicken always tastes fresh and they let you load up on salad. What's not to like? Check it out yelpers.
