  1. I can say that the Classic was good, but not great. The pork was indeed tasty, but the distribution of the jalapeños was poorly distributed. You see, when I was eating my sandwich,  I realized that in the first bite was extremely spicy, this also occurred on the end of the second half of the sandwich. I suggest that Lotus evenly distributes the jalapeños,or cut them into smaller pieces.  The Thai ice tea I had, tasted bitter lacked sugar and was heavy on the ice. But non the less, come here for a quick lunch time bite(s).

  2. I've only had the bubble tea in Lotus which is really good! It's my first coming here today and I am definitely hooked.  I also want to try the food because as soon as you come in you are greated by such a wonderful aroma.  If I didn't have to go to work right away, I would have stopped and ate something.

Anyway, definitely coming back for more bubble tea!

Also, friendly service.  Just be warned you're going to come out of this place smelling delicious!

  3. One of my friends and I got into a debate about where to find the best banh mi sandwiches in Park Slope.. or Brooklyn in general for that matter. He told me that I'd have to try this place before making a judgment that Hanco's was the place to go.

I ordered the extra spicy shredded chicken banh mi sandwich — I can't say that I was disappointed. The sandwich was pretty good, the bread was not too hard and not too doughy, just the perfect consistency. I also have to give it to them that we (4 guys) walked in when they were 10 minutes from closing but they made our sandwiches and let us sit, eat, and chat for a good hour — all while smiling.

Personally, Hanco's is still my go-to place for vietnamese sandwiches, but this place is also a great alternative! I heard their bubble/boba tea is pretty good too — I'd def. try next time

  4. Ordered lunch from here at work. Half of us got pho and the other half sandwiches. It took them over an hour to deliver and when the food came it was kind of cold. The noodles in the pho were a congealed glob. We asked for extra sriracha but they didn't even give us enough for each person to have one. The pho broth was a bit bland but better with the sriracha. Worst part was that it gave me a really bad stomach ache. The other person that got beef pho had the same problem. Not sure if it was the meat or what but I def was uncomfortable the rest of the day. Everyone that got sandwiches was happy. Maybe I'll try them next time

  5. I've passed up on this place a hundred times and my wife surprised me and said that she wanted to give it a try.
I, not knowing a whole lot about Vietnamese food went with the traditional sandwich which has pate, Vietnamese ham and some veggies. I also went for the traditional bubble tea. I must say that I was very satisfied with lunch and choosing the spicy option gave the sandwich a nice kick.
Keep in mind that the place is very small and not accommodating to large groups, or groups of any size really. The next time I come here, the soup looked like an interesting option, despite the one size at almost $10 bucks.
Overall, the small staff was friendly and the place looked clean. I would recommend Lotus and I do plan on returning.

  6. The best Bahn mi Sandwiches in Park Slope. I have tried many other Bahn Mi sandwiches in the area and none are as good as Lotus.

They offer many types of Bahn Mi sandwiches, pho's and Bubble teas. I am particularly not a fan of their Pho's or bubble teas simply because this is not what they do best in my opinion, but they do make killer Bahn Mi Sandwiches.

Their prices are ver affordable, I almost always order a Classic Bahn Mi and shrimp summer roll, all for under $10.

They offer dine and delivery options. Delivery is usually ver quick.

Make sure to ask for a side of hoisin sauce to slather all over your Bahn mi Sandwich, like me, cause I'm such a fat bastard.

  7. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've actually tried all the banh mi in Park Slope and this is by far my favorite. Although I can only speak for the vegetarian options. Great portions and service is fast. My only complaint is that they used to have a sandwich card where you got a free one for every 10 purchased and then they took it away! On the plus side, they do have a lunch special that I swing by for sometimes (banh mi and a bubble tea for $9.50). I'm moving soon and this will be one of my most missed places to eat at.

  8. I'm a big fan of banh mi but I wasn't impressed at all with the sandwiches from here.  The taste was lacking, the bread was microwaved and it's just a very bland sandwich.  I've had so much better banh mi elsewhere in Brooklyn.  Thai Ice tea here is horrendous, has no flavor whatsoever, I can make it better at home using the supermarket bought packets!   I have to say the service is excellent though.  The people who works here are super friendly and accommodating.  Just wish food is better.
