“I always have some kind of soup they make a turkey vegetable soup that is like a stew”

“Chcken Picatta, Chicken Normandie, toretllin a la pana, huumus just about all of their sandwiches– those are all fantastic sure bets!”

“I must also disagree with Jabber V., who says there is no culinary identity to the menu.”

  1. It's a cool spot, I enjoy there chicken cutlet on Pita with sauce an mozzarella the platter comes with salad. I usually order to go an it's usually a easy process but they do tend to not give any utensils or napkins.

Not a huge deal but it is annoying when your working an on the go.

There service is decent as I did eat in a few times, very old school vibe an cute. I enjoyed the dinner setting.

Overall decent not fancy an I would come back for a quick Togo lunch.

  2. I like this place. It has a good menu and everything is a good price. I order the fried calamari every time I come. Sorta wish they had a bigger bar, but they do serve alcohol. I like coming here because it has a bit of everything. It has french, Cajun, middle eastern. You can get smaller dishes and large dinners.

The service used to be slow at times, but it seems much better lately. There is also a front counter for take-out orders, but I've always gone in and eaten.

  3. Circles is one of those eateries you can go to after long work day and just instantly sink into relaxing atmosphere with glass of wine and homemade food.
It feels like you are seating at your auntie's kitchen, so easy-going, unpretentious, quiet.
Staff is very friendly and nice, music is not loud and food is great.
Calamari was fresh and scrumptious. Sauce was good – a bit oily for my taste, but it was good no less.
Pouched flounder with side of green beans – yum! Light, lemony – perfection.
And chocolate mousse cake for dessert – so smooth, creamy and dreamy.
Thank you, Circles, for great relaxing evening after stressful week! Great low key place you can stop by any day of the week.

  4. Really spacious and perfect for my family – there were 5 of us with 2 kids and everyone was able to order something they liked from the large menu. I wasn't a fan of my tuna melt but I loved the penne alla vodka and big steak sandwich 🙂

  5. i walk by this place almost everyday but never went in for a meal. the boyfriend and i decided to get some takeout one night and try it out and their food is surprisingly good. it's what you would expect from a decent diner. lots of options on the menu from burgers, to pasta and meatloaf. i had the chicken marsala which was served over buttery rice pilaf and lots of mushrooms. it definitely satisfied. he had a chicken dish as well but with a lemon sauce. everything was finished. the portions are HUGE and the food is very reasonably priced. will be back!

  6. I heard that this place is good, but I didn't think it would be this good! We walked around the neighborhood looking for a nice, low key place to have dinner. We actually started looking right around Circles and then walked all the way to 75th and we came back to Circles. Why? Because the lighting looks so cozy and inviting, sort of homey. It definitely has a diner feel to it, but I felt transported to an old small town somewhere, definitely not Brooklyn! The menu is expansive. It took us forever to order because everything looks good! We finally settled on calamari for appetizer, shrimp scampi for myself and eggplant parm for the bf. They also gave us complimentary salads. The food is really food for the price. The portions are good too. We also bought a yelp deal. Although to be honest, we couldn't really finish $40 worth of food and had to take an entree home (we had no room for dessert!). They also have a nice pre-fixe menu for a 4-course meal for $10 on weekdays from 5-6pm. It is definitely a gem in the neighborhood. I will return here. No doubt. Please try to stop by if you're in the area, you won't regret it!

  7. Ok so first of all, all of the sandwiches came with a salad instead of fries. As someone who loves salad, this wasn't a huge issue, but I found it very odd. I've never seen that before. Sandwiches usually always come with chips of fries and you can substitute for salad. Here, if you want fries you have to pay an extra $2 or something. Weird.

I had no idea what to order since it was a typical diner menu with 800 options from pasta dishes to a sandwich.

Calamari appetizer – greasy and tasteless. The marinara was average and that was the only thing giving that calamari some flavor. As someone who orders calamari at every single restaurant, this was not good calamari.

I ordered the thanksgiving turkey dinner sandwich. With the damn salad.

I was expecting big hearty pieces of white bread, fresh hot turkey, homemade stuffing with a huge scoop of cranberry. That's how my mom has always made it!

That is not what it was. 2 plain pieces of white bread. Dry turkey slices. Bread crumbs (stuffing?? Even boxed stuffing is better)… & some cranberry. It was disgustingly dry. The stuffing was not stuffing. I kept trying to steal bites of my boyfriend's sandwich because his was at least on some Italian bread with mozz.

The salad. Lettuce with a couple hunks of tomato. They didn't have salad dressing options. They only had house dressing. No, it just was not good. It just tasted like straight vinegar.

I won't be back. There are plenty of other places to eat.

  8. Ordered on seamless and food was ready when I wen there to pick up.  They were a little unorganized because she was asking me for payment when I already paid through seamless.  She had to go back and look through all the paperwork to confirm that.

Anyway, I had their breaded mushroom caps and grilled portobello mushroom sandwich.  Portion for the breaded mushroom caps was small and it wasn't too good.  Tasted way too oily.  The portobello mushroom sandwich was pretty good.  Light taste of garlic bread with a fresh taste of mushroom and spinach.

I would be willing to come back to give it another try since they got so much stuff on their menu.  Majority of the food items are reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in this neighborhood.
