  1. Stopped here for a snack and try simple fancy dining. The atmosphere here is very relaxing. The decor looks great with little tea pots and plants all over the restaurant.

There are a wide selection of teas and served in cool antique looking pots. The food is kind of medicore it is just made to look appealing to the eyes.

This is a good place to take your date for some romance or bromance. Hah

  2. The atmosphere of this place is nice and great for catching up with a friend. The green tea crepe cake tastes good and you can tell it's not from Lady M. The curly fries were fresh and yummy. The best dessert was the tofu cheesecake, it was delicious!! The rose milk tea comes in a nice tea pot and tastes really good too! The tea stays warm because of the candle (which is good). As for the service, it was fantastic because of our waitress, Bonnie. She gave us some awesome suggestions and was always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. I would definitely go back for the tofu cheesecake and rose milk tea!!

  3. Really cool place.  The tea sets are so cute.  The noise level is crazy though.  I had the crab salad and it was good but idk if it's worth the price.  I had the mango milk tea and that was ok.  The waffle was a good size and good. Would come back!

  4. This place feels so out of place in this neighborhood, but I'm glad it's here, because this location is much more convenient than the Queens one for me.

My friends and I got the fried octopus, salted crispy chicken, and a pot of lavender milk tea. The fried octopus was sooooo good! I love tentacles, they are THE. BEST. SEAFOOD. EVER. Especially fried. 😀 However, they gave ketchup as the dipping sauce, and that's just a horrible idea. I thought this place was so fancy until the ketchup came with the fried octopus. Like, really? Can't even serve it with marinara?! I ate it without any sauce, and it was still delicious so yay!

The chicken I felt was a tad too salty. And it looked like a lot at first, but it turns out the chicken pieces were on top a bed of lettuce, so that was disappointing.

The lavender milk tea was really yummy. The lavender flavor is present without tasting fake or overpowering. The tea comes in such a cute teapot set.

I feel like it would look so much nicer if the plates they served food in matched the teapot set, so that it really looks like everything goes together.

When we first got there, only 3 of us were present, and we were waiting for the 4th. We did tell them that there was going to be 4 of us, but we kept having to ask for the 4th plate, cup, etc. Maybe they were going to bring it out after the 4th arrived, but wouldn't it be better to just put out the stuff so they can start eating/drinking as soon as they sit?

  5. Always a great spot for desserts and tea in a wonderful Victorian setting. There are just so many tea options, you can really try one different type every time you go and not run out for a long while. The decor of the place is just fantastic with gorgeous tea sets and beautiful curtains. Though the price can be on the high side, you'll definitely be able to enjoy everything that comes out.

We especially love the tea pots that come with every tea order and are heated the whole time it's on our table. The desserts are always a nice addition. We've had both types of mille crepes, durian puff, ice cream, cream puffs, and others.

This is a great place top bring your dates, your friends, and even your family to spend some intimate time together.

  6. It's been a while since I've had a high tea session. It's nice to see Prince Tea House expanding out from Queens. The atmosphere is just as nice if not better than the Flushing location. They even have a huge room for a party of 10 that has a fireplace set up.

Potted-milk foam rose black milk tea – Creamy, milky and strong rose flavor. It's sprinkled with grounded oreo bits on top. It was weird drinking it at the end because the oreo was mixed with the drink, it created a weird aftertaste.

Signature lavender green milk tea – I'm a big fan of floral teas and especially green tea, thus I couldn't pass up on this. This was equally as good as the rose black milk tea just without the oreo bits.

Tofu cheesecake – definitely skip this. The texture was weird and it wasn't sweet either. In fact it was kind of bitter. It kind of tasted like goat milk cheese cake. Not a fan.

Pate a choux with green tea, red bean and strawberry ice cream – This was a little difficult to eat. The pastry was pretty dense due to the ice cream. My favorite was the green tea and red bean. The strawberry had some bits of fruit in it.

I still love Prince Tea House regardless of the 3 star rating for the Brooklyn location. The mediocre rating is mostly based on the food. I've ordered the crepes and potted teas from their Queens location and loved it. It's just this time I decided to be more adventurous and try some of their new menu items which fell short. The drinks are superb and if you're sticking to dessert I recommend the crepe selections.

Beware of the long wait, I came around 3pm on a weekday and waited about 30 – 40 minutes for a table. It gets pretty packed, I can only imagine how crowded it would be on the weekends.

    P.S. It's a $25 minimum for credit cards.

  7. They finally opened their Brooklyn location ! Much more roomier than the queens location and they are better decorated. If you like tea this place serves a huge variety from Rose tea to your basic oolong. They serve it iced, hot, or "potted" which is a cold tea topped with a whipped foam and cookie crunch to look like a flower pot. Prince tea has all that cute stuff that girls like. Aside from all mason jar plants, random words on the wall, unique tables and chairs, tea is actually pretty decent. The price is mediocre. You get what you pay.

If you plan on sharing I suggest getting some hot teapot tea. It comes table side seated on a candle dish to keep it warm and there's plenty to share. But if your like something cool then go for their iced teams (potted iced teas are good). You can share as well but it's more for a single person.

Prince tea house also serves food/ desserts. I've never tried the food and don't plan to since you mainly come here for dessert and tea.

For desserts they also have a decent variety. Their waffles with ice-cream is decent and they have a pate a choux stuff with 3 different ice creams that never disappoint.

This nice spot to hang out after dinner and get something not cloyingly sweet. Staff is friendly and helpful. No complaints here.

  8. A place out of a storybook.  Practically anyone who believes in a fairytale ending would enjoy this place.  It reeks of your dreams for happily ever after.

To say PTH is slightly out of place in its neighborhood is an understatement.  But like old timers' Asian bakeries of the past, the people need a place to convene and connect in.  With its spacious and unexpectedly comfortable chairs fit for kings and queens, it is an appropriate setting to sip your tea with one pinkie jutting out.

The hot tea comes in personalized teapots (with extra sugar on the side) laid atop a ceramic tea light holder.  This serves to keep your teapot hot throughout your time here.  I've sat for 3-4 hours before with my tea temp being good til the last drop.

My favorite here has been the Rose milk tea.  It has a pleasant floral scent and taste.   The lavender is is a close 2nd depending on which you're craving that day.

I typically come here for the green tea Mille crepe cake.  It is very comparable to Lady M's in the city, also priced slightly cheaper.  The tofu cheesecake was a surprising favorite as well.

Beyond the desserts, there are savory bites you can munch on.  The salted chicken was delicious.  Served up piping hot and crunchy on the outside, it had the perfect amount of saltiness.

The usual one on one or small group can be seen here, but there is a larger space in the back of the establishment with a large table.  It looked to be a potentially great spot to host a private event, complete with a privacy curtain and all.

To date, I have been a repeat customer.  It's the diehard romantic in me.

*Despite my enjoyment of PTH, I was put off by the owner's $25 minimum credit card fee.  The law dictates that businesses can only enforce a minimum of $10.  Our bill was closer to $50 split between the two of us.  Just short of their requirement on each card, the owner tried to explain it to me.   However, I clued him into the fact that it's illegal.  He proceeded to say he might switch to an all cash policy.  *shrugs*  Eventually, he accepted our cards.
