  1. I would rate Bareburger 3.5 stars.
Came here with the little bro yesterday (Friday) for dinner. This is a higher end burger joint (but still a chain).
The menu is overwhelming in that there are so many choices and combinations of burgers, salads, etc. You'll find something that you like for sure. Reminds me of Chop't. There are options for carnivores as well as vegetarians/vegans.

I went with the bartender's recommendation, "El Matador." He was kind enough to educate me on all the ingredients and flavors of this choice (bison, queso fresco, pickled jalapenos, guacamole, green leaf, spicy pico de gallo, brioche bun). So glad he did because I thoroughly enjoyed it. He warned me like 4 times that it was spicy but it really wasn't that spicy. It was flavorful. This was my first time trying bison and the meat was cooked medium so perfectly and it was unexpectedly very juicy. Little bro went with the "Fire Quacker" but substituted duck for bison which he equally enjoyed.

Ingredients are quality and our meals came out in a reasonable amount of time. The burger is the perfect size/not too big. Prices are definitely up there though. Fries were good as well but you do have to order them separately.

Again, I would rate this place 3.5 stars but rounded up instead of down because the inside is extra nice. Bare wood chairs, and the front is open so it kind of feels like you're sitting outside.

For a chain, this was much better than expected. Try it.

  2. I am surprised by all the bad reviews. This is hands down the best burger I have ever had. The milk shakes are to die for and worth the $7. I also get the homemade root beer. The burgers are moist and melt in your mouth. The decor is trendy and the staff is quick and courteous.  Go on a weekday as it's packed on the weekends. I've been here maybe 5 times and it has yet to disappoint. It's not cheap, but good things never are.

  3. I went with my wife a few days ago for dinner to Bareburger. The restaurant itself is clean and attractive and we were seated quickly. Everything here is organic including the ketchup, mustard and sodas. We tried to order a diet coke but were instead offered a brand of organic soda.We then ordered a buffalo burger, a regular burger and some onion rings and fries. The burgers were about a 1/2 a pound each and were very expensive 13.00 for the buffalo burger and 11.00 for the regular burger even for organic products considering they did not have fries or an side dish with them. The burgers were very good with high quality ingredients but did not seem worth the price. We had to order fries and rings which were 9.00 for an average size portion that was very pedestrian in taste.Service was excellent and responsive. The price to value ratio is below average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a good experience but may be too pricey to consider again.

  4. Waitress was attentive. Food was ok. We ordered the Bison burger and the Elk burger. Neither were that great.

  5. A lot of people recommended this to me.  The burgers are great.  They had a nice selection of beers.  The fries and shakes are amazing.  The only thing that bother me was the cost.  Every item you get costs something which if you get a lot adds up.

  6. After walking past the Forest Hills location many times but never trying it, i decided to try this location when I noticed it while hunting for a late lunch on a weekday afternoon.

There were very few customers at the time.  My server, who was very friendly, swunng into my booth, sitting  across from me, and offered to help me pick out a burger.  She helped me pick out the toppings and everything.

I ordered the black bean burger,  fries and a strawberry lemonade.  Everything was great.  The lemonade's strawberry flavor was a little weak, so I knocked off a star.  But I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

  7. This was my second visit to bareburger in RVC and I'm confused by the bad reviews. I came on Super Bowl Sunday during the game (if you hate football, best time to do anything!) and it was empty except for five tables.

I had a beef burger with country bacon and bleu cheese, and my friend had an elk burger that was really tasty.

The service was awesome- very friendly, and the server took the time to tell me about some game day specials they had like $3 fries and specials on milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches.

…which is when I was like HOLD THE PHONE, ICE CREAM SANDWICHES? Tell me more, tell more more (grease theme here)!

I ended this DELISH meal with a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich, with vanilla ice cream in the middle and it came with chocolate sauce to dip into. The server even gave me a caramel sauce additionally since I had a hard time deciding. It's the little things 🙂

This ice cream sammy was flippin out of this world. The cookies were so soft that they nearly fell apart (but didn't) and the ice cream was so creamy. I recommend the caramel dipping sauce, it's kinda like caramel/toffee. I'm dreaming about this dessert now.

    You're welcome.

  8. I really, really like Bareburger. Like, really. Unfortunately, this location is still very hit-or-miss with me. Let me explain why:

The first time I came here with a friend, I was amazed. Awesome decor, great menu, and great location. It was mid-day, which meant that it was empty, and we got plenty of attention from the waiter. I ordered the standard burger and fries and everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. When the fries are crispy, I'm in heaven, especially with those dipping sauces.

However, the second time I came to this location with my siblings, I was not as impressed. It was at night, and a lot more crowded, but that should not have affected the food. The fries were not at all crispy. Instead, they were soggy. The burger (I went standard again) was OK, but the soggy, flavorless fries sort of killed the meal for me.

Finally, I went here one more time, hoping for a better experience. I went ahead and got something different and tried the Southern Caviar burger. For me, it was a huge mistake because I didn't like the taste whatsoever. I realized how much I don't like bison (at least not from here!) and the toppings made it worse (was it the pimento cheese? the horseradish remoulade? I guess I will never know!)

It won't be the last time I dine here, but I would just love to see more consistency. Keeping my fingers crossed!
