The name says salad bar but that's just half of it. It seems to me to be Caribbean/South American food and it's muy sabroso!
They're located at the food court, level two of the Green Acres Mall right next to Sakur Japan. It's always a toss up for me which to get.
From memory the salad bar consists of potato, egg, fresh, noodle, crab salads, avocado slices and fresh fruit. The other half has about two or three different types of rice, potato, cassava, fish including salmon steaks, and chicken done different ways. There's always a sample lady at the front with chicken for you to taste.
You select your food and pay by the weight. Recently another food outlet opened next door and it's rather funny to hear them dig at my spot with their "everything here is $6.95, fill your box for $6.95 we don't weigh food here " lol Oh dear! However I've tried the food at this new spot and my conclusion is let me continue weighing my food please. Also, something tells me they may very well have the same owner or maybe they're family.
I tried a few selections on the menu my first couple times here. Now, woman of habit I am, I always get the same items which are potato salad, slices of avocado, plantain and mini pieces of BBQ chicken.
The food is very tasty. If you're shopping at Green Acres Mall and need a quick pick me up, I highly recommend this spot. The ladies who work here aren't the friendliest (and my rating is strictly for the food) but what are you here for, a quick, tasty, (somewhat healthy), takeout meal or a BFF? Okay.
