  1. I still like Panera a lot, but on this occasion, nothing was organized. A lot of it came from no one understanding how they want you to stand in a line here. They have 2 registers, on 2 different counters, one is in front  of the breakfast and bakery menu and the other for the general menu, however, you can't really read the other menu if you're standing by one of them. They want you to stand in 1 line, by the bakery register, so even if you want to purchase something from the general menu, you won't be able to read it until you're there. It just didn't make sense to me, especially since I was buying from the breakfast menu. Another thing, they hand you your coffee/beverage at the counter, so don't be like me and already walk away to the pick-up counter. Just a tip.

I order the avocado, spinach and egg breakfast sandwich. It was mostly good except for way underripe and soggy tomato. I promptly removed it and enjoyed the rest of it.

  2. Hardly a soul at this location at 6pm on a Sunday. Maybe that's because the weather was nice but it's the quietest I've ever seen at this location.

Wanted a coffee and pastry to nosh on but the selection was minimal and not a single item under 410 calories (if that matters to you).

My server wasn't very cheery even though I went out of my way to be extra polite to him.

I'll gives them another shot at some point and I'm hoping I can rate them up because I have generally positive thoughts about Panera,  in general.  Today's experience doesn't leave me dying to come back here though…at least not right away.

  3. Ordered to go inside the restaurant today.  Phil was my cashier and he was super friendly.   I ordered the turkey  apple cheddar sandwich and i wanted it toasted like a panini

  4. Not sure what happened here but this place used to be a lot better.  I was standing off line, obviously still reading the menu, and the cashier kept saying that she could take the next customer. There was no one behind me. I used to bring my mom here for lunch but i'm not sure i will anymore. The people were just tossing my food on the plate, having their own conversations while making food which slowed them down, and one was just walking back and forth in and out of the door to the back… One employee asked for something personal way after my order was in and received it first right in front of me!!! I had to wait a long time for my soup after my sandwich was already made! The sandwich, chicken salad, was just plopped onto the bread sloppily, i had to open the bread and spread it out and put the lettuce on in the middle rather than hanging off the side. The food tasted good but the service used to be better so what could Panera doing for its employees so that they feel better about doing an excellent job? Also for a place where you have to carry your own food to the table and bus it when you're done i think the prices are too high.
Free internet and lots of seating is a plus.

  5. The Quick: Classic Panera location. The food is always good, it's a nice 'quick food' chain lunch spot that has comfortable seating and healthy options.

The Details: The chipotle chicken panini is a rockstar. I recommend the Greek salad for those more health  conscientious folks with an apple on the side. Note the French baguette side  is sometimes the best part of the meal. I do appreciate the listed calories per meal.

The Damage: Lunch for 2, no drinks, $18. A lot for a quick lunch spot but always tasty.

  6. Love love love panera. Their menu is huge with so many delicious items. I love broccoli cheddar soup is always so good and so filling  especially with the whole-grain bread. The frontega chicken Panini is amazing. And I love the Fuji apple chicken salad.

Today I got the lemon chicken orzo soup. It has a lot of stuff in it, but I don't think it has a lot of flavor. It is similar to Greek soup, but this has no lemon flavor in it.  While I liked it enough I do not think I would ever order it again.

This location is always clean and I think the staff is friendly. I like coming here. And whatever you get, I think it's hard to leave here hungry. If you do, you're doing something wrong.

  7. I like this store because of the spacious layout and general cleanliness.

What many of the other reviewers say about incorrect orders reflects an epidemic disease within the entire Panera organization. This stems from three or four factors:

    1.  Carpets and decor aside, Panera is, and always will be, a fast food restaurant.  The business model depends on mass production of identical items.

    2.  Any customization requires four steps; the customer must order correctly; the cashier must put it into the system; the food preparer must read and understand it; the ingredients must be readily available; and the preparer must be willing, and have enough time, to prepare the order correctly.

    3.  These are essentially minimum wage jobs, many of the workers have less-than-stellar work ethic, morale and language skills, so it should be no surprise that the majority of customized orders come out wrong.  Even when the customer complains, the same broken system produces a second wrong order.  Garbage in, garbage out.

Having said that, for those who realize they are at what is essentially a McDonald's with carpets and don't take it too seriously, you can have an enjoyable meal, acceptable coffee and use of the free wi-fi.

One more thing, the Manager of this location is very hard-working, friendly, and conscientious, but even she cannot fix Panera's service issues, which originate at the corporate level.

  8. Last time I went to a panera in Huntington Village, I was very disappointed by the quality of the food. However, this one surely did not disappoint. I was greeted by the cashier and he was extremely personable. The girl in front of me kept giggling with the cashier so I thought that they were friends or hardcore flirting. It was a little irritating cuz they were talking for longer than the usual time it takes to order food.

When it got to my turn I completely understood why she kept laughing. This dude was seriously hilarious. He asked me "Do you want an apple with that?" To which I responded, "Do I look like I need an apple?" And he replied, "I don't know why I asked you that". The entire interaction was very comical. He pronounced my last name spot on. Best customer service I've had at a panera. It's just nice how he spends a little extra time getting to know each customer and strives to make them laugh. Thanks Ryan!

Oh yeah, the food was great. Freshly made & cheddar broccoli soup is the way to go. I got the 1/2 panini sandwich 1/2 soup deal for $9.75. The Chicken Frontega panini is my favorite. I didn't have the apple on the side but rather, I got the bread cuz I wanted to dip it into the soup.
