  1. So I like to sometimes try and eat health and I always love to try new stuff so walking past this nondescript storefront that I never realized was a restaurant I happened to see the words "try our Elk burger". Thats all the persuasion I needed. The deluxe deal is you get the burger, fries and water or soda for 10.50.a little steep but so be it. The burger served on a whole wheat pita was good and filling. Elk tastes like slightly gamey beef, similiar to bison. Its pretty dry though as is the concession for having so little fat, the air baked fries were good if a bit limp. The menu is quite large and my next target to cross off is the ostrich.

  2. Raised in Bensonhurst from the age of 5, I am home visiting for the week (now live in Charlotte, NC) and took my nostalgic stroll down 86th st yesterday. Though FUEL has been there a while, I'd always drove past and vowed to stop in, but either could never find parking or was in a rush. Yesterday, I finally made it in.

Ordered a fresh green juice with some added carrot juice. The woman at the counter was genuinely welcoming and highly energetic. The 3-4 staff members behind the counter were on the move, filling orders with a sense of excitement I found quite refreshing.  I love seeing small businesses work well!

The large 20oz juice I received was an EXCELLENT value for $5, and it was perfect. I'm heading back there today for another! Will be my #1 new juice spot in Bensonhurst whenever I'm back in the neighborhood.

Small, clean, vibrant, and with great service, they get 5 stars.
    Salud!

  3. The only thing I order from here is the " create your own" salads. I usually get my salad with grilled chicken and egg whites. Their chicken is pretty good and not too dry but their egg whites are very oily.

Their delivery is kind of slow but staff is very friendly.

  4. So they close at 11 but when I call for an order to pick up at 1015 they tell me it's too late the kitchen is closed. Lame. I understand if it was 1050 1055 but 45 minutes before u close? Here's some advice. Close when your kitchen closes. Restaurant business is to serve customers not serve your staff so they can clean up and go home on time.

  5. I have been here several times. The food isn't the worst but it definitely isn't the best. The best word to use is bland. I always get the chicken teriyaki and it tasted good but the vegetables are dry and not very tasty.

  6. I had a mac and cheese and it was literally just oily pasta and chunks of dried up oily cheese. Took a bite of it and threw it out. It is definitely NOT mac and cheese. My turkey burger was ok. I like the patty but wheat bread was terrible. Everything fell apart once I took a bite. My friend had the Fuel BBQ, most of the meat pieces were burnt. He also had a bison burger. He described it as "way too dry for a burger". His food were both overcooked. Would not recommend this place.
