Hungry. Lazy. Cold. A few mouse clicks later, and we had a Seamless web order in at Dante's for delivery. An escape from an overwhelming amount of Chinese take-aways in the LES, Dante's promised to serve up a tasty turkey burger, a sumptuous chicken parm sandwich and chicken soup for our lazy-ass souls.
What arrived, was a soggy and tormented turkey burger, cold and mealy fries, a greasy chicken parm and a chicken soup saltier than the Dead sea.
Sub-par food aside, we also received the most head-scratching cock-up i've ever seen in a take-out order… steamed broccoli that arrived… completely un-steamed. Yes, a few bits of raw broccoli, for $4.50. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot.
After commiting sins of a one hour delivery time, ridiculously terrible food, and 7 layers of culinary Hell, this deli deserves to be in purgatory.
