The guys at Avenue R are still as sweet as ever. I told them that just because I haven't been in to buy Häagen-Dazs or Entenmann's like I used to doesn't mean I'm cheating on them with some other convenience store. I've gone VEGAN! But I just found out I can still clog my arteries and support local small business. Yay! Did you know that Oreos and Lorna Doone shortbread cookies are vegan? Probably a lot more things too, if you don't mind GMOs, dyes, high fucktose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated blah blah. My friend likes this store too because they carry American Spirit organic cigarettes.
