  1. What the hell, I ordered three things and they managed to gave me 2 wrong things !!!??
The place is BAD at following instructions. I said sandwich on a bed of salad, but they decided to give me bread anyway
Also, I said apples , but somehwo they decided a Can OF COKE is a kind of apple??!!
OH and by the way, the delivery took almost an hour
for THREE LUNCH ITEMS, INCLUDING ONLY ONE RIGHT ORDER????
at this piont, i'm justt too tired to even call them and wait for the right thing to come back- who knows how long that will take againn???

can't believe they still exist. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE OR YOU'LL BECOME ANOTHER ANGRY & HUNGRY CUSTOMER

  2. The selection is incredible, the food is good, the service is fast, the location is clean – but what I can't get over is the setup.

As a traveler new to the NY area, I had no idea what to do the first time I went in. In fact, I think I actually cut several people in "line" at the salad counter because it looked like people were just hanging out and I couldn't tell where to wait. There's no established line, there's no number system, and there's no real way to tell who is going to take your order, unless you happen to be lucky enough to lock eyes with one of the guys behind the counter and raise your eyebrows, as if to say, "Hey, I need something…"

Regardless, they have something for everyone. The coffee situation is nice, as you can pour your own if you don't need anything fancy, or order something else to be made-to-order. Breakfast boasts omelettes, french toast, burritos, parfaits, bagels, and fruit cups. Lunch options are paninis, sandwiches, and salads. They have a convenient grab-and-go option if you don't want to wait for them to make something behind the counter. And, if you have a sweet tooth, they have PLENTY of options. One day, I'll have to try a sprinkle cupcake or piece of carrot cake – they're practically calling my name.

Prices are reasonable and there are tables inside if you don't want to eat on the run. Lines can be long but always move quickly. Definitely a good lunch option for this area, just can't get over the cluster of a setup.

  3. Great affordable food, everything is always delicious. Entree section, sandwich section, make your own salad, sandwich, Smoothie stations, huge drink selection (coconut water San pellegrino, kombucha, Dr. Browns soda, etc)

I usually get the Cajun salmon entree with brown rice and kale for $10. I love their salmon, and the Cajun seasoning tastes delicious. They always have kale, beets, and great organic vegetables. They also have pre-packaged sauces like mustard, red balsamic vinegar, Russian and everything you could imagine!

One thing I don't like is that they microwave the food compared to the Lex & 34th St location where they heat it on the stove top. But the people at this Park Ave location are MUCH FRIENDLIER.

Mornings they have pastries, croissants, a decent selection of coffee (Italian roast is good). They also have cakes (red velvet is pretty good).

Recommended Entrees: Cajun Salmon, Chicken Parm, Quinoa Bowl

  4. Quick lunch spot on Park Ave. They have a variety of choices including a salad bar, pasta station, sandwiches line, and entree section.

It's, over all, a little pricey for what you get. What I settled on was the teriyaki salmon entree. For $9, you get a pretty good piece of salmon and two sides. Not too bad compared to their other selections, which seemed a lot more pricer..

What bothered me was the fact that they had to heat my meal in a microwave. Everything, I believe, is made that day, but it's not fresh. It tasted alright, just not a fan of the lack of freshness.

  5. Guy and Gallard is like any other "lunch time " restaurant. It has soups, salads, and sandwiches all at a moderately cheap price. This place is very similar to Europa Cafe in that they make the salads in front of you and have designated stations for different lunch items

My favorite this about this restaurant though is the dessert. More specifically, their giant black and white cookie. This sucker has a circumference of 3 – 3.5 inches. Its thick, soft, and covered in delicious icing.  Some might think its a little expensive , but if you've never had a GG B&W cookie – you haven't lived.

    I probably consume at least 3 B&W cookies from  G&G a week. — don't judge me..

  6. If I didn't have to rush to work in the morning while forgetting to eat my morning nom noms, I probably wouldn't have even step into this place.

The space is nice and wide. They sell salads, burgers, smoothies, juices, bagels, etc. Most times I just order a turkey sandwich or veggie juice. Pricing is what it is for the neighborhood. Customer service is good.

  7. Late in the afternoon, need my "fake" coffee. To trick my brain to thinking of the good old days. The days of a kick of caffeine….long gone. But hey I still need it, so run in and low and behold not just plain old decaf, but yes dare I say….decaf French roast w/hazelnut….SCORE!   G&G I love you! You Rock! I know it's just a coffee…. Hey it was Hazelnut!

  8. I was looking for a quick lunch in the neighborhood that was a healthy alternative to Chipotle, so I stopped by here on a whim. There was a lot of seating inside, and a good selection to choose from.

It kind of bugged me that the chicken wrap cost $8, and that it was pre-made on top of that. Flavor-wise it was nothing special, but they stuffed an obscene amount of chicken in the wrap to the point where I was more okay with the price.

Chipotle will continue to be my go-to for a fast meal in the area. Maybe one day I'll return to Guy & Gallard, but in the meantime I'll occasionally look for other alternatives.
