  1. I've been to Camden Food Co. for 2 visits but saw a few repetitive flaws with their service. I originally sought out Camden out of all the options in the JFK terminal because they're one of the few places where you can get a healthy meal. On my first visit I was happy with my meal which was a turkey sandwich from their menu. However, it took me standing at the register for more than a few minutes for me to get the attention of the woman working the counter because she was busy on her phone. The sandwich took 10 minutes to make and I was the only one there. It was a good meal that was freshly made so I returned a second time. When I came back I wanted to order off the menu but the woman on duty told me the person who makes the sandwiches was on break so I could pick from the premade display area. I just don't understand why she couldn't help me out and make the meal fresh. I was in a rush so I grabbed a premade turkey club and a packet of hummus and pretzels and the total came to $17. Way too overpriced for what I got as it was so I definitely didn't buy the bottled juice for another $10! I won't return even for the fresh sandwiches because of the issues I've had with service. Walk a little further and you'll find a bunch of options around the corner.

  2. When it comes to airport food, Camden does okay in terms of providing some healthy options with better quality ingredients and more choices. They have a salad bar (pay by the weight,) a sandwich station that is made to order, soups and various pre-made options as well. Their chips and drinks have some more "natural" albeit not totally healthy options. I've tried both the salad bar, which I really enjoyed but got expensive pretty quickly and more recently the caprese panini made fresh. That panini was okay-not terrible not stellar. It was cheaper than buying food on the plane and at least I know it was made to order.
Camden is a decent, non-chain option in JFK.

  3. We were so hungry and didn't want to miss up the chance to get food at the airport. FYI, there's a lot more eateries such as Panda Express just a couple more steps around the bend that is A LOT more affordable so don't think this place is the only option!

We got one of their sandwiches and a pesto pasta. Both were ok- for a very small to-go pasta and sandwich, we paid over $17. The cashier was in no hurry to ring us up- just think of her actions as Matrix-like and you get the picture.

I repeat, there's a lot of eateries around the bend so skip this place!

  4. Their signage proudly claims "fresh sandwiches made to order", but when attempting to give them our business, we were informed that they are really made off-site and only available via grab-n-go.  So no vegan options (not even pretend vegan) are available here.

  5. I came here a number of times the past week as I am working in JFK airport for the summer. I love the salad bar- you make your own salad with fresh ingredients. Dressings are great quality. The pricing goes by the weight. I believe it is 60 cents per ounce.

I only have tried the pesto chicken panini. That one was okay. I wasn't nuts about it. Good quality though. I think I wanted chicken more moist. It was kinda overdone. Bread needs improvement.

Overall I like this place. I get fresh and good salad for about $7 (big box). That beats other airport food places where food is overpriced and mediocre.

I'm here for the summer and will keep returning for the make your own salad :0)

  6. Awful! I waited 12 mins for a damn bagel toasted with cream cheese! The service is slow and the employees are generally carefree, slow and disorganized. If waiting 12 mins. Wasn't bad enough when I got my bagel it was hard as a rock as if they had it from the previous day! I tossed it in the garbage and filed a chargeback with American Express I even took a pic of it and sent it to AMEX as proof that it was not satisfactory! I usually wouldn't care but time is money and so is poor food quality and lack and dis concern of  general customer relations. First time here and last time as well!

  7. hm! I was impressed by the selection of prepackaged snacks here – definitely some unique offerings. Sounds like that's a better options than the sandwiches, which I did not try. I would stop by here again.

  8. I got The Noble, which has bacon, turkey, ham, dijonaisse, and some other things, and is ordered through a system remarkable only in its inefficiency, and marked by the sullenness of Camden's employees.

That said, this was not the worst sandwich I've ever eaten, and I might even revisit it were I forced to eat another meal at this end of JFK.
