After reading all of the great reviews, my experience was disappointing. Our Chipotle Chicken sandwiches ordered were virtually flavorless. The chicken itself was very tough and tasted as though it was reheated from the day before. Definitely not what I expected from such a highly regarded establishment. Maybe they were having an off day or perhaps we just ordered the wrong thing that afternoon. The place was definitely packed so they must be doing something right. Not sure I would return given the price point.
We are regulars here, usually order cob salad, Apple baguette, nitro and lavender soda. Food is delicious and fresh. Staff is awesome as well.
Cute breakfast/lunch spot if you're looking for a quick stop. You order at the counter and are given a number for your table for the staff to deliver your food. Menu is unique, but limited, specifically for breakfast. I highly recommend the baked French toast! It's worth it to follow them on Facebook just for the weekly breakfast special. Seating is pretty ample; I've never waited for a seat even on a Sunday morning. The place has a very industrial vibe which is cool, but not very cozy. They carry unique beverages and Stumptown coffee, which we buy by the bag for my in-laws.
While they know what they're doing and have never messed up my order, I've never received so much as a smile from the staff. Asking for honey or any extras usually results in them just placing it in front you and walking away without any response.
Food was really good. Great sandwiches, really good soup. Loved the outside patio- sat out with our dog. 4 stars tho, because it was definitely pricy. Great ambiance in the restaurant though and nice staff.
I finally tried this place after driving by for months. So worth it. This is a great breakfast or lunch spot with nice outdoor seating. The location is nice and decor is well put together. All the food and as so fresh and they have a nice selection of sweet and savory food. I was nervous it would be crowded but to my delight their was a good mixture of people getting to go so their were plenty of seats inside and outside. I'm glad I finally tried this place!
Really pleasureable experience. Wonderful and large space with a minimalist approach. Friendly staff.
I ordered the turkey club sandwich and the bread is delicious! Nutty goodness. Tastes homemade. I really enjoyed the cranberry spread as part of the sandwich too.
Few things I would do differently to make the sandwich even more delicious is to serve the turkey at room temperature or warm. Having it cold sort of throws off the experience of the sandwich. I'd probably even out the meat to bread ratio too. Melted cheese would be niiiiice as well.
Ordered a small latte, too. Enjoyable. My husband really liked his prime rib sandwich. I am definitely down to go back!
Ran in for a pre-meeting coffee and breakfast since it was In the area. I appreciated the ample parking in the rear- definitely the last thing i want to look for before coffee.
Inside is spacious, casual, and hip. There's some glass walls that allow you to see into the bakery's kitchen and also the bake house. Up front is a chalkboard will all the food; seating is placed throughout.
They brew all Stumptown coffee and have nitro cold brew available. It's kind of amazing. If you haven't had it from any other Stumptown-brewing shop, I can't recommend it enough.
I also got a egg and cheese, which comes on a house made ciabatta. It was a good sized sandwich and was very tasty. I can appreciate good bread.
All this on top of good service- I'm into it.
In a perfect world, every town has its version of &Grain. Affordable, diverse, friendly, and lots of seating where you can unwind and relax. I don't live around the area so I don't know about the weekday but I've been here a bunch of times on the weekend when I visit. They've got great pastries, good coffee, and the quiches are my usual go-to items on the weekend.
Great for dates, friends catching up or a day of studying. Very relaxed and they've got outdoor seating as well. Perfect on a sunny day. Parking is a few doors down.
