I was in the area for an event and had to kill time. Given that the area is in a remote part of Dumbo, there aren't many places to really sit and hang around…until I stumbled upon Brooklyn Roasting Company. The place is huge and of course with very hipster settings. I ordered a cup of cappuccino and it was decent, but not the best I've had. The only real complaint I had was the service. They weren't as friendly and the barista never announced my order when it was ready for pick-up. I thought they forgot my order but it turns out the pick-up was on the other side of the counter….at least they could have said something instead of having me stand on the wrong side of the counter.
Huge space, great atmosphere and even greater coffee.

I heard their iced latte was good and it definitely was the best latte I have had in a long time. Would definitely come here again to try their expresso coffee.
Was looking for a coffee shop to get some work done and this was one of the few open in the late afternoon and has wifi near me. Cute lighted sign by the cashier and very hipster vibes.
Recommended by the barista to order the maple shay, basically a latte with maple syrup. The maple made it a little sweeter. Tasted delicious, not much like coffee but I felt the caffeine in my system really quick.
Would definitely come back to get some work done!
Found this place on a whim when exploring Brooklyn one fine Sunday. Didn't see a sign but decided to go in anyway. High ceilings, very raw looking with big bags of coffee beans on the side. The cashier seemed meh about taking my order and answering my many questions, but that didn't stop me! I've been wanting to try Nitro Coffee, and VOILA, they had it! I was happy with my coffee (although not a huge difference from normal coffee, but I'm no coffee expert). There are tables (sort of look like construction tables) and couches to sit. Also has 2 fairly clean bathrooms!
Great coffee, fantastic space with plenty of seating, and Dough doughnuts. Does not get any better than this.

On this beautiful Sunday Afternoon, we stopped by Brooklyn Roasting Company's Cafe/Headquarters/Roastery. It is a huge space with constant line out of the door, plenty of seating, table space, people with laptops, and of course COFFEE (to smell, to see, to buy, and to drink). I decided on a 16oz Nitro Cold Brew $5. The default came with ice which lessens the cascading bubble effect but worth it on this New York Spring Day. The Coffee was rich, smooth, and caffeinated. I have had their coffee elsewhere but I am glad to have come to the source.
Very convenient location if you are visiting DUMBO! This location is also very big and spacious. There are lots of seated areas available. Inside the coffee shop has huge bags of coffee laying around as decoration.. or might probably be real! Overall, it's a cute hipster place I would come back to if I lived in the area. Pretty relaxing place even though it gets busy here.
My friend ordered the nitro and you can taste the quality of the coffee! Mine was the Maple Shay latte. They use maple as a sweetener for this one. I liked this one because I like lattes and this wasn't overly sweet. I initially forgot to mention I wanted it cold and told them after I ordered. They adjusted my drink with no problem even though the menu showed the iced version to be 50 cents more.
