  1. A good little (well, actually quite large) bakery tucked away in Clark.  It offers all the quintessential bakery items, and from my sampling, at a good quality.  Butter and Italian cookies, danish, crumb buns, turnovers, rolls, breads, cakes (designed to order), muffins, rugallah, and larger pastry rings all displayed in the many show cases.

The room itself as I mentioned is large and I suspect can manage a busy crowd on a holiday morning.  There is no seating, so plan to take your goodies to go.  Service was friendly, and very patient as I paced around oogling and drooling over the pastries.

I ordered two rugallah and an apple turnover.  The raspberry rugallah was delicious with tangy jam and sweet pastry.  The apple turnover was quite good, but my heart still belongs to the turnovers I grew up with at Fritzche's bakery in Sayville, NY where there is a bit more apple in large pieces.

  2. Excellent, long-established bakery with VERY nice long-term staff. Long lines on holidays and pre-orders help.  Will cheerfully prepare even very small advance orders.

Try the chocolate frosted donuts–available only on weekends and they sell out quickly; fruit pies; and cakes..

  3. Came in the other day to get some pies and cookies for a family gathering. When we first walked in, we weren't greeted or acknowledged at all by the two women working. We were the only ones in the bakery at the time, but when other people walked in, they were welcomed. They seemed more interested in conversing amongst themselves or helping their regulars. Not the best customer service.

We got a tray of Italian cookies that was neatly wrapped up and adorned with a bow, a Chocolate Chip cake, Apple Crumb pie & Lemon Meringue pie. The cookies were good and your typical Italian bakery cookies. The apple crumb pie was delicious. It had a good crust, a not-too-sweet filling, and the perfect amount of streusel. The Chocolate Chip cake was basically a rich chocolate cake with a sweet icing and tons of chocolate chips around the sides. It was good, and came highly recommended, but only get this if you like your desserts really sweet! The worst was by far the Lemon Meringue, which tasted so artificial it was left uneaten by everyone. Definitely pass on that.

I recommend the Apple Crumb pie and their cookies.
