  1. Finally a mega drugstore plus more with a minimal food market newly opened in summer 2011 serving Flushing, Queens to operate 24/7. It sits directly on the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Main Street on the #7 train station. Fully stocked that is never short on life's basic amenities for the daily deal. I was finally able to obtain breathe mints (NOT chewing gum) without the hunt down or run around from aisle to aisle like a typical retail space layout. The layout is nicely configured and easily understandable with the use of common sense. A self-service coffee, pastries, and fruits by the foyer's entrance to welcome customers is a warm invitation. The pharmacy within is also operate 24/7 as I am able without agita to obtain medical assistance for this gargantuan Duane Reade store #14438.

Retail space is clean and there is no shortage of snacks, preserve or package foods. This space was the former home to Old Navy, thus out with the old and in with the new Duane Reade for Duane Reade's new home from the move across the street.

Four stars as the drawback is the usual long bread lines at the register with only two cashiers to man the fort.

  2. The Duane Reade here is like all other Duane Reade's in NYC
Slow service, long lines and not many people helping you

It is at least decently clean

  3. A-OK place for pharmacy and medicine. The setting, system, and everything will look almost the same as other Duane Reade across the US…

  4. 24hr!!!!!!! Yes this is the only place on Main St. in Flushing is open 24hr!!!!!!!! Late night munchies well stop by this location because those late night craving can be satisfied. They sell almost everything. The pharmacy dept. isn't 24hr but the over counter medicines should be enough to solve any medical needs. I am going to say 24hr!!!!!!!

  5. It's new-ish so the space is pretty massive with dual floors and all except why the hell isn't anything where it's supposed to be?! Two stars for saving me a trip to the bank since they have Chase ATM machines.

  6. I like the convenience of DR being open 24-7. It's perfect for those early or late night runs. The prices are moderate for the location. This store seems to be well stocked. Employees are not rude but don't expect them to go out of their way to speak and smile.

Although, I must admit that the cashier that rang me up did speak. She just needed to add a smile and she would've been set. Her fellow coworkers were robotic like with their movements and rehearsed scripts that they used on the customers waiting on line.

  7. New update is based on this morning's situation

There was no line so I went up to a register about returning the Wal-Dram 2 which I took one tablet and it gave me a bad allergic reaction so my PCP told me to not take it anymore. I was talking to the cashier behind the register then the other cashier walked over and made a snobby comment about me returning medicine. "Oh if everyone opens something and expects to return it"…WTF…I was so distraught…Wow are you a fucking human being! Medicine is completely different from like food, drinks, electronic, and etc. So the cashier that I was originally talking to…pointed out the manager which he was kindly to understand and made the return for me. As the return was done, I asked to speak with him at the end of registers that these cashiers have no heart when it comes to customer service. What's the point working at Duane Reade when you represent the company poorly with your crappy remarks to customers.

    Un-fucking believable….GRRRR!!

  8. It's Duane Reade. Need me to expand? Yes? OK then: if you want a pharmacy that actually gives a s°°°° about you, go to a local independent pharmacy. SOme folks at Duane Reade care but most seem to perform at sub-standard levels. Yet there's one everywhere so I begrudgingly trade service for convenience–the Faustian pact of the current corporate culture. Oy vey…
