Pink Tapioca?! I'm interested!
A new bubble tea emerged on 8th Avenue – Brooklyn. Right after my dumpling snack across the street, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Passion Juice with Tapioca. I love the fact that they allow you to customize the level of sugar and ice here, too. The drink, unfortunately, was not what I expected. The passionfruit taste was very bland and had an unpleasant aftertaste. Now, I am a big fan of Passionfruit Bubble Tea drinks and I say so for sure that it's not worth ordering compared to other places I have tried. I see that they have a different varieties of Hong Kong Style drinks such as the Lemon Tea and Taiwanese style drinks. I would come back again for the unique tapioca colors and perhaps, try another drink. Tapioca was very chewy and sweet but not the best in my book. The price is on the okay-pricey side my medium-sized drink with bubbles was $3.50.
Staff members are very nice and friendly from what I experienced and observed. The decor is very clean and I see that they are aiming to be a modern cafe with the free wifi they have to offer.
Overall, a very clean place and has potential to make it big in this area.
This is probably the most spacious bubble tea spot in the neighborhood. They have seating inside. I had the medium classic bubble milk tea ($3). I like it a lot. You can taste the distinct flavor of the tea and the milk they use is not creamy, so the drink was very light and refreshing. Some places make the bubble tea too milky, which I'm not a fan. The bubbles were nice and soft, not too hard or mushy.
My new place for bubble tea!!! This spot has so many options! Milk teas, or Taiwanese teas, smoothies… Etc… No food though.
My favorite part: you can customize the sweetness/sugar in your milk tea and you can customize the amount of ice. I like my tea with minimal sugar so this makes me happy. The tapioca is soft and chewy. The color of the tapioca is light pink and is very fresh. No artificial flavors!!!!
There's seating space for about 10 people. So, it may not be idea for bigger groups. There's free wi-fi too! They accept credit card through square! Again, I love this place!!
Cost is about $3.00 for a medium. They do hot beverages too!!
Ordered the red bean bubble tea since I was around the neighborhood. It's a nice place and reasonably priced bubble tea and options. Since I regularly go to the neighborhood restaurant a few blocks away on Sundays, I may just take the walk and visit this place.
I've had this franchises' drinks over at the East Broadway Manhattan Chinatown location a few months back. What makes Drink Tea's drinks unique is that they offer red bubbles instead of the tradition black tapioca bubbles.
My overall impression of the bubble milk tea that I purchased in Manhattan is that the baristas could've made it better. It was tasteless. Bubbles were hard. Yadda yadda yadda. The red bubbles tasted no different than the black ones. Only physical difference is the red 3 used. Hey, bubble tea isn't healthy to begin with.
After about an half an hour biking through Brooklyn with my friend, we stumbled upon this place. I decided to pick something up to drink because it was a hot 90 degree + summer afternoon. I settled for just the "mango juice" since they were doing a promotion for it and it was advertised on the menu screens. As sip as I order, the barista quickly whipped out the artificial mango container. Yuck. Would I be back? Probably not.
This visit was somewhat improvement on staff part. Much more hygienic and staff can communicate in English. The establishment and drinks itself still remained the same since last visit. In my last review I didn't talk about the seating. It can maybe sit like10 people max with not a lot of space for work if you need a lot of space. I do wish though that they can open a guest WiFi so people can sit there and do work. Music …music choice is not bad but the speakers are so horrible and cheap sounding . since most people don't go to bubble tea stores for music this isn't really a big deal But if you were to sit there for an hour to kill time it would kind of give you a headache.
