  1. Great coffee, no surprise there. But I'm not in love with the space – the hotel is cute, but seating is limited, unlike the Stumptown in Ace hotel with its library-esque feel. The location is also a bit out of the way – I would stop by after gallery hopping in Chelsea, but it definitely isn't a cafe I'd head to if I wanted a place to sit down and be productive for a few hours.

  2. This place is so adorable! It's located in a larger boutique hotel, but you have to enter through this quaint cafe. It has an older, antique feeling to it, with deer heads on the wall and old art, along with large chairs and antique-looking sofas. It's pretty dark in here, but I did see some folks reading.

They have a wide array of teas, specialty coffee drinks, and sweets. There was a giant donut covered in almond slices that looked absolutely amazing, but I was too full for it. I opted instead for a "Red tea", which had a great berry taste to it. I got it to go, but I would have loved to sit here for a while. My visit in Februray left me a little chilly but outside has an adorable patio.

  3. Wes Anderson's wet dream come true. This is a gorgeous coffee shop in the lobby of the Highline Hotel that serves the finest Intelligencia coffee, has plenty of outdoor (and some cozy indoor) seating. There's even a vintage typwriter you can play with or type a message to a long lost lover who's sailed away to the Indies on a spice mission.

  4. Wow so exotic! Intelligentsia probably does not serve the best espresso, however it is definitely one of the most insta-friendly coffee shops near the high line landmark. Finished a short run so really needed to cheer myself up before the start of a new day.

Decorated a bit old-fashioned, with type writers quietly sitting on the bench and lots of old paintings hanging on the wall, Intelligentsia successfully caught my full attention! Great ambience, love it!

One minor thing – they do not carry skim milk…

  5. Nifty little coffee shop located in the High Line Hotel.

Tasty iced mocha drinks, friendly service, and wonderful outside seating in the backyard and front area lit up by old school gas lamps. Free WiFi too.

It's basically also right across some guest rooms and the main lobby check in area. Just a few steps down the hall is a clean public bathroom if needed for hotel guests and coffee shop patrons.

Dropped the kids off at the pool then went outside to enjoy my drink in pleasure! I think I dropped a weight class here!

  6. Love this place. The cold brew or iced coffee are all I ever get. It's the perfect spot to grab a coffee while you wait for your table to be called at Cookshop! 😀

  7. The idea of locating Intelligentsia Coffee here is exactly what you will encounter at Stumpton coffee roaster in midtown.

Both are newly, great coffee brand.
Both are inside in high end hotels
Both need you to be patient about waiting for coffees

  8. Amazing cold brew coffee. Probably best I've ever had. Don't even need to add any milk or sugar.
