Food Gallery 32

“I spent a weekend in NY= with my siblings and went there not really expecting much since its a food court but we were amazed.”

“Its like a nicer and roomier version of Woorijip, which is exactly across the street.”

“You can get the same Korean BBQ, Bimbimbop, Sushi and BulGogi as anywhere else in K-Town but cheaper and for the most part better.”

  1. Delicious food, lots of variety, and speedy service. Perfect for our family when we were hungry and tired in NYC!

  2. I always thought other food halls in the city were overrated. Whether it's Gotham Market, Vanderbilt, Queens Night Market, or Smorgasburg, the food never justifies the wait and never meets the hype for me, personally.

Food Gallery 32 has a lot of Korean and Japanese foods. Not as creative as the places above but the waits are never too long. Everything's good, portions look decent at every place I've been to. Kimchi fries are good, too.

Spot Dessert bar is on the top floor if you're a fan of that (or they're Honey Toast).

However, the VERY best part of the food hall is the dessert stand by the entrance. They have baked baby cakes and croissants stuffed with custard. It's the fish-shaped jawn. They're great frozen, or fresh. I'm a big fan of those.

  3. This is a 3 level food court in K-Town and of course that means you will find lat least a dozen Pseudo – Asian style Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese food options unlike other NYC food courts that have zero to one.

    These are the basic spots;

Mama – mini fish taiyaki and mandoos
Noodle 32 – Korean noodle soups
Red Mango – self serve ice cream,
    Bian Dang – Taiwanese-style fried
    Hanok – Korean style food
    Mr. Fish – DUH
Kung Fu Tea – Bubble tea and other drinks
Jin Jja Roo – Chinese but Korean style
    O-de-ppang – Japanese bento-box
Pastel – Asian-style spaghetti, breaded cutlets, omelettes
Boon Sik Zip –  Korean snack food
Sweet Churros with Coffeed  – churros, ice cream, drinks, coffee

And there is more, but to many to list, plus every few months a shop or two will close down another entrepreneur will take there place so you should come just to check it out.

Everything here is quick order made but there are not that many places to sit and there always somebody sitting there so expect to take it with you unless you come with a gang and stake your territory or go to the third floor.

  4. Great place to come and grab food both savory and sweet.

There are a variety of vendors that sell different Korean dishes. Almost all the menus had pictures accompanying the items so it was easier to order or try something new.

I ordered Kim Bap (Korean sushi rolls) from one stall and it was great. My husband's Bibimbap from another stall was average but not bad.

There's a Kung Fu Tea stall as well as Spot Dessert upstairs.

There is seating on all three floors and bathrooms located on the third floor.

  5. It's like an Urbanspace, but with Korean food. Cafeteria style with a lot of different options for whatever mood you're in! There's bubble tea, custard puffs, sushi, frozen yogurt, ramen, Korean bbq, rice bowls, bi bim bap and so much more!!

I went to the Kobeque stand and got myself a Korean BBQ bowl. It was delicious! The wait time was a bit rough though, I had to wait about 15 minutes to get my food. It was peak dinner hours, so it's understandable. There's a lot of space here, especially on the 3rd floor. I will be back here to try more of the vendors!

  6. Nice Korean food court, offered yummy and affordable food.

I always got a rice cake and Korean BBQ pork and bubble tea. Always there is a hot dessert bar offering combo dessert set.

  7. Hmm how should I describe this place? The food court definitely contained lots of decent Asian food and as an Asian, I actually preferred this one to other places that are more western-centric. The big issue stemmed was that the organization was less structured, and I always felt like the sanity condition was less than satisfactory. True, I should have cleaned up the table and brought the plates to the trash can; however can someone please clean the trash can a bit more frequently so that it would not spilled over?

Given the better quality/more tasty food, I probably will come back often, yet I really wish they could improve upon other aspects, and not treat this place as a grab-n-go type and simply leave everything behind.

If you could not locate seats on the first floor, there are plenty on the second and even third. Spot is on the third floor.

  8. After more than 30 different meals I would like to say Food Gallery 32 is probably my most frequently visited lunch spot. It's a food court, so there are probably 100 noodle dishes and another 20 kinds of fried rice you can choose from. There are plenty of seats on the first floor, and even more on the 2nd and 3rd. My favorites are the following:

    Kimbap and fish cakes combo
Ham and Kimchi Ramen (from Seoul Food)
Jja Jang Myeon (from Seoul Food)
Non-Spicy Rice Cake (from Seoul Food)
    Jap Chae (from Seoul Food)
Bibim Naengmyeon and Naengmyeon (from Noodle House)
    Seafood Pancake (from Hanok)
    Soondubu Jjigae (from Hanok)

For dessert, there's a Spot Dessert Bar on the second floor and there's also taiyaki from Gochujang. My biggest struggle is that sometimes I'm too full to eat a taiyaki after a big bowl of noodles…
