  1. Wow!  Is this the ripple effect of the new Barclay's center, or even Williamsburg, reverberating all the way down here now?

When I stopped in here to grab a six pack after my local Korean market closed up, I thought I was transported to Manhattan or the Beer annex of Whole Foods on Houston street.

There are literally that many selections to choose from here.

I was amazed to find as many varieties here in my own local Bay Ridge nabe.

I'm going to be happier working through these selections than a kid through the cereal aisle with carte blanche from a guilty Mommy.

Personally…I only upgrade my own beer choices as frequently  as I do my electronics…about every 5 years.

Wicked this….Moon that…..single bottles…large cans…crazy colorful graphics that make me want to say…"I'm gonna DRINK YOU!"…..what's a sober guy to do?

It's a veritable smorgasbord of hops, barley and water, packaged into nice bottles and cans with clever names.

They also have good essentials for snacking, like terra blue chips, etc.  and other stuff like a wide selection of Muscle Milk for us brawny boozers.

The fully operational taps at the check out counter, made me think I was back in Rio, where every corner store serves up drafts. But alas, these are to refill the growlers of no fewer than 3 or 4 varieties.

I'll trade a green village market for an all beer (or mostly) store any day of the week.

After all, as one bartender once told me…."..there's food in beer, but there's no beer in food…so if you're only going to have one…."
