  1. A decent place for a quick bite. So many choices for bubble teas or flushes, and they even provided the option of light sugar or no sugar. Ramen was mediocre and a bit too salty on the other hand, but what more can you ask from a bubble tea room?

  2. Great place to go if I was still in High School. Ah the memories after Prep. Now that I think I am an adult the place is still the same and not much different. There are still 4-5 teenagers working in the back and takes a long time to get your order (even for bubble tea).

The bubble tea is ok. What is great is that hey have a lot of different selections but then sometimes they won't have some flavors.

The gelato section is not bad but Torico is way better.

The food is not bad. Wide variety of stuff. The waffles are pretty good. Not a lof of seating area especially since they put a high school lunch table in the middle of the seating area. I would come back to try the other food items they have on their menu.

  3. Flavors are creamy. A bit too creamy. Tried the Biscoff and it tastes like toffee. Portion sizes are large. I was flabbergasted at the amount of one scoop. It was the size of a baseball. How could I tell? Because one of the two scoops fell off my cone and I caught it. Definitely get you money's worth here, but I'm a "less is more" type of dessert person. The store is decked out in nerd gear. It would have impressed me if I didn't come back from a more well thought out place in Philly. Overall, okay if you're in the area and need something for the stroll by the water.

  4. Babo is probably one of the first bubble tea place that opened in Jersey City. What I love about this place is the location. It sits right in front of the water. What I hate about this place is also the location. There's never any parking.
Babo probably cost double of what you can get in Chinatown but they have a far better selection of bubble tea, milk tea, smoothies, and fruit teas amongst an extensive variety of gelato and an array of appetizers and small snacks. My favorite tea is the fruit blend of green apple and lychee. It's called the dragonfly. I do recommend not to add additional sugar as it is already sweet. During the summer, I'll opt for the strawberry or some form of coffee smoothie with the tapioca. It's so refreshing. My cousin loves the taro tea as well.
It's a really cool hang out spot with seatings. They also sell these toys/collectibles which oddly enough represents the place. You're able to taste test the gelato however it differs for the bubble tea. There's a sign stating once you order there will not be a refund. So choose your teas wisely.

  5. I thought this place was alright in terms of bubble tea.  The taste was adequate and tapioca (bubble) was cooked well.

However, this is definitely some chaos in ordering the food and looking for the menu.  Menu with full price is not properly displayed on the wall, so it was hard for me to order food, and I ended up not ordering one at the end.  Also, the policy of "no exchange" everywhere also makes this place less friendly.

  6. I go to Babo every time I'm in Jersey City because I love their bubble tea. They have a wide selection of flavored. They also have gelato and food options. I like the Nutella waffles and shumai. The food does take a while to make do be prepared.

  7. The nutella and waffles. TO. DIE. FOR. Guys, so yum. Babo got me. I feverishly ate it all up. It's slightly pricey right now, but manageable given the awesome food and location. I haven't had boba tea in a while, but this food is phenomenal. Love the gelattos as well. All the flavors tbh. I miss this place so much. And you can't beat that beautiful city view from the pier next door.

Babo is a mandatory stop on the regular pilgrimage to the waterfront. Trust me on this.

  8. While I will agree with other Yelpers that the place seems a bit disorganized and chaotic, I have really had nothing but good experiences here.  The menu is hard to find, and their organization of who takes drink, food, and gelato orders can be confusing and slow, but they have always been very friendly to me.  I find their standard teas to bee WAY too sweet, but I usually order them with less sugar or sweetener; and they are always happy to accommodate.  The food is usually tasty, if a bit slow.  I often get the beef sukiyaki-don, and the chicken-basil dumplings.  Both are very good. Their portions and prices are good too.
