  1. They generally have what I need plus a bunch more. The store is well kept and the staff is reasonably friendly. They also have amazing specials on some foods, so I generally make a pass through on the way home. You can get cereal for 2 for $5 (I think that's only if you have a rewards card, which is worth getting).  Pretty much my go-to drugstore in the 'hood.

  2. This Walgreens store has an edge over the others because of its grocery section, particularly the organic aisle.  I've often stopped by to pick up some snacks, including cashew butter, goat's milk, honey, etc., for days like today, when the weather prohibits venturing out (darn Stepmother Nature!), and I am forced to stay inside, seeking solace in snacking.

What irks me about all of the Walgreens and Duane Reades stores is the recent policy to accept only cash for the purchase of gift cards.  I like to buy gift cards for the doormen at my apartment building, and I often don't carry large amounts of cumbersome cash.  Not a wise idea to needlessly inconvenience customers.

  3. It took this place about a year to finally remodel their store…and while it looks much better than before there is a big problem: the service!  I came here today at 11am sick with the flu buying medicine, tea, soup and food.  I filled the cart.  I bring it up to the register and instead of a "Hi"  I get a woman – no make that two cashier women laughing at me because of how much stuff I have?  It is a grocery store and guess what I'm buying?  It was really rude and unprofessional.  Being a cashier sucks I was one once, you make the best of it but you give your customers respect especially if they give it to you.  The entire time I am getting rung up the woman is laughing and saying "too mas, LADY!  "TU LOCA!"  I understood exactly what the woman was saying and doing and it was effing rude: I should have and would have just left with the entire counter & bags filled with my groceries if I hadn't been so sick.  As I left she wished me a nice day: hilarious!  I think as a person who works in customer service and who was once a cashier customers should never be treated like this it is an abomination of your establishment!  The same thing happened to my sister as she was being rung up along side me it was such an absurd late morning!  Both of these women should be fired, their behavior is unacceptable.  Needless to say: I am boycotting Walgreens for life!  Hello CVS, Duane Reed, Riteaid and the like!
