  1. In a neighborhood dominated with super cutesy, Australian-filled coffee shops, 12 Corners is my no-nonsense, friendly neighborhood go-to. You won't find a crazy line, lots of difficult hats, or fancy cups, but the coffee — Kobrick — is solid and they won't charge you extra for almond milk. Plus the two kids who man the counter are super sweet. It's nice to start your day with a smile, ya know?

Show up early if you want to get one of their delicious almond croissants on the weekend, they sell out quick, and if you're like me and know the heartbreak of losing out on that sweet, almondy indulgence, you want to make sure you can get your fix.

  2. Ordered a soy matcha latte.  The barista warned me that they make it unsweetened, which was fine.  I actually prefer my drinks unsweetened. The matcha wasn't bitter. I would order it again.

The cafe was very cozy.  There are 3 small tables and a barstool table by the window.

  3. This was one of the better matcha lattees I've had. I like  how the matcha isn't grainy towards the end of your drink. Also, the drink is unsweetened, so you're able to add as much sugar as you'd like. I'm not that crazy about overly sugary drinks, so I left it unsweetened.

Small location in Chinatown, so it's more of a grab and go establishment.

  4. Five small tables with free wi-fi if you ask.  Great service, and fantastic coffee.  Pastries are good too, but I inhaled it quick so can't really give it a fair description.

  5. Stopped in for some secure wifi and realized they don't really have food, mostly drinks but if you get here early enough you'll get your pick of a seat

  6. It's actually not a bad place to grab a coffee and get some work done if you're in the area. The coffee shop is quite small with only a couple of tables and a few bar stools, so it might be hard to find a seat. But people seem to go in and out quickly. As for the drinks, they have specialties for the holidays and seasons which is nice. I like their green tea latte because they let you add sugar to your taste. Some drinks are a bit off on days, but overall not a bad place to grab a coffee in the area.

  7. A nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, 12 Corners is small but a legit coffee shop. The lattes are delicious and affordable, staff are friendly, free wifi, and even books in the nook. If I'm in need of caffeine and in the area of Little Italy, I always make a point to stop by here. Serves a small collection of pastries as well including croissants, but there's a ton of bakeries nearby for that. Looks cramped at first glance — there are some bar seats by the window — but I never had a problem finding seats when I'm here.

  8. I've probably walked past 12 Corners about four times during my visit to New York, but I finally got to stop in before I headed back to Vegas.

Located in the neighborhood, from what I'm told is called, "Chibeca", this place makes the all things a coffee addict like myself needs. Cold Brew, Espresso, Red Eyes, Americano and the list goes on. They also exclusively use Kobrick Coffee which is a New York based coffee roaster that started almost one-hundred years ago.

I went with the "Red Eye", hot brewed coffee with an add shot. This was great, no burnt coffee taste with just a slight bite from the espresso. Need to get somewhere fast or make pace marks in the floor of your apartment? Then this place has you covered.
