All the coffees I've got from this place tastes like pure chemical. Maybe they are good at making traditional plain latte but don't get their flavored lattes unless you chug cough syrup as a hobby.
I love Latte Art! The Financial District is awash with chain coffee shops – DD, Au Bon Pain, S'bucks etc. There's also some local spots or mini chainlets – Gregory's, La Colombe, Bluestone Lane, FIKA. But all of these places are fancy, pricey and in many cases brand-new to the neighborhood. Latte Art feels like a holdout from a previous version of lower, lower Manhattan – the tiny storefront is hidden from scaffolding and a bit out of sight, but the line moves fast and the coffee is dark and strong. Instead of an app, they have a classic punch card that seems pretty generous – buy five coffees, get the sixth free (I feel like most places make you buy 10). It's a bit hard to find but very near the Whitehall R and Bowling Green 4/5 – I strongly encourage you to shake up your coffee routing and give it a shot.
The tiniest coffee shop I have seen in the Financial District. Unlike other coffee shops, they stand out with this unique sense of style.
Great marketing!
They have a happy hour special where you can buy two lattes and get the third one free! Incredible!
I had their chicken empanadas, which were freshly baked with a combination of cheese, spices, and vegetables all chopped up in bit of pieces.
The empanadas were soft, yet had a distinguished taste!
I find just two empanadas to be filling as well as healthy along with a decent price considering the location.
This was my first time having Venezuelan food and I was definitely impress.
They also have another location in soho, which is more spacious and that's where they do the baking and cooking from scratch.
Aside from empanadas, they also have desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth and their famous latte.
If you are in the area and want good quality of empanadas and latte from South America, I'd definitely recommend stopping by!
I've only become a coffee drinker in the past year or so and am very adverse to the bitter Starbucks coffees or other "fast food" type options. I discovered this place when I started a new job in the area and I've started to frequent it almost every day!
It's great quality coffee, always the perfect temperature and the guys that work in there are so friendly! It's a tiny little place but they don't need a lot of room to serve great coffee. It's absolutely just a take out place though as there is NO seating. Also, if you go a lot they will give you a punch card for your 6th coffee free (and it's not limited to basic coffee, I got a mocha as my free option)!
The latte was so strong, it could wake the dead!
Found this place on the CUPS app, otherwise I wouldn't have known it was near my commute.
Ordered the latte art, with skim milk. I didn't ask for a specific art, so I guess the default art is a heart. I typically don't add sweetener to my coffee/latte, but it was way too bitter for my taste. Had to add extra milk and sugar to my latte once I got to my office.
Barista was nice, and quick. I went at 7:45am in the morning so there was only one other person ordering coffee.
FYI, like what all other reviewers notice, this place is literally a hole in the wall coffee joint. Two people can barely stand side to side in the store.
Quick, great coffee and they also take the Cups app! They have some treats as well as homemade empanadas even though they are a small store!
Cute coffee spot in downtown Manhattan. Came here as suggested by my friend that they do good latte art (just as its name implies). They really did – with a butterfly on mine and a rose on my friend's. Guess no girls could say no to such a tiny yet lovely coffee shop!
Be mindful that it was extremely small though.
I didn't get any cool art in my latte. The guy did draw a face off one of the hearts I had. Literally a hole in the wall, it's like an indoor stoop. No seats, just up the stairs to order. Coffee is decent here though.
