They sell Dough donuts here
A lovely coffee shop! Simple, yet artistic and offers an array of delicious coffee beverages and tasty pastry treats.
The iced coffee I ordered to go was excellent – very smooth, and does not have that bite that a lot of iced coffees do. Service was fast and efficient, just a couple coveted seats were available in the front of the shop.
Alright, I guess.
We stopped by because it was the closest coffee shop to Veniero's that was also a partner of the Cups app, and we really really needed a jolt of caffeine. On first glance, it's a super cute little coffee shop with simple, minimalistic decor.
I ordered a LARGE vanilla latte, but ended up getting a small(?). I was confused because on the Cups app there are different sizes listed for the vanilla latte, but on their overhead menu, there is only ONE size which can be either hot or cold (for different prices).
I was not a fan of the particular vanilla syrup they used. It was way too sweet – even sweeter than Starbuck's syrup – and that is saying a lot! And it tasted really artificial..
I might wander back if I'm in the area, but I definitely would not go out of my way to come back here!
I came to specifically order the iced matcha latte but was disappointed 🙁 I'm not sure if it was the fact that I ordered it with soy milk instead of regular milk, but the milk was way overpowering so that I could barely taste the matcha.
Nice little spot with friendly baristas. I was looking for a coffee shop to sit with my laptop one evening, and though Honeyhaus is (very) small, it suited my needs perfectly. I didn't try the coffee (Counter Culture is great in general, though), but was impressed by the tea selection. They have a couple different matcha drinks, and a nice variety of looseleaf tea. I had pumpkin spice tea – yum! Prices are pretty good, too. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, just what I needed.
As others have said, it is super small, so not the best choice to come and stay with a group. But the barista is friendly enough that who needs to come with friends? 🙂
Real deal matcha here, you guys! No sugar added, but they do offer some simple syrup that you can add yourself to your liking. They have a nice selection of freshly made donuts – I went with the hibiscus. The donut itself is quite fluffy with a nice sweet flower-y hibiscus icing. Owner is super kind and friendly, engaging in conversation just the right amount. The interior space is quite small, so it's perfect for a quick 10 minute pit stop at the small counter next to the front window, but not for doing work for a few hours.
Randomly stumbled upon this quaint little cafe in East Village one day and decided to pop in for a little. They sell Dough donuts here, but be sure to get there earlier in the day if you want one. They were sold out when I went ): Other than that, the people who work there are really nice and friendly!
I knew I would like honeyhaus when I got a drip coffee and they were serving an Ethiopian/Guatamalan blend that was perfectly roasted, smooth and bright. We were renting an Airbnb apartment right next door so this was my neighborhood coffee shop for a few days. Through our stay, we had a number of lattés and other coffees and they were all good. The lattés are not huge, maybe 12 oz. The barista was always friendly and recognized me after my first visit. It's not a huge place, a couple of stools and a bench inside, a bench outside. They do have wifi. All is good at honeyhaus.
