Whole Foods is great for certain items. Their produce department is among the best I've ever seen. As well as their fish and meat counters. I love their pizza dough and always keep some on hand when i want to make a homemade pizza. Great deli sandwiches and a huge selection of foods from their buffet. Great freshly made sushi as well. The only downside it that they are super expensive. I would never do my weekly shopping here because of that.
I frequent this Whole Foods a lot since it's on my way home. Sometimes I'm not even planning on going food shopping, but impulsively pull in anyways.
I'm just always willing to stop by this location because the workers are so nice!
Side note: I love their strawberry shortcake. (You can get it at any Whole Foods.) A small cake (probably 4-5 inches?) is only $10!
I enjoy the wide selection of Asian ingredients (almost a full aisle!) available at this Whole Foods. I also appreciate the variety of pasta that I see almost nowhere else. But this Whole Foods always seems rather empty and maybe as a result (or vice versa) the standards for the prepared foods are lower than what I experience at any other location.
For the price it commands, the hot bar's low quality is perplexing. I got the chicken and artichoke soup which looked and tasted exactly like the Hudson Bay except it was devoid of any salt whatsoever (whereas most would say the Hudson Bay is brackish). There was one giant/long matsutake mushroom that had not completely re-hydrated yet. I thought it was a finger. I ate it anyways and it was not very good. The chicken wings were so dry and old that the bones were peeking out of each desiccated piece, making it look like they were literally selling a pile of chicken skeletons.
I'm pretty sure I saw Wendy Williams here once so it can't be all bad.
Definitely a wider selection of food then the Montclair location. Also, a much larger parking lot.
Thank you Stephanie for the stunning bouquet for mom! You exceeded my expectations! A++++ customer service!
Love this whole foods store! It's a decent size so that there is enough variety, but not too overwhelming. It also doesn't been cramped like in Madison whole foods.
There is always someone to help you find your groceries. All staff is always very nice.
They have the best selection of organic produce in the area!
It's a pretty good store overall. I stop in the get lunch once or twice per month. They're losing a star because I think the store is slipping. The past several months they haven't had small boxes near their prepared food. I think it's lame that they either haven't ordered them, or their trying to make people use big boxes so that they'll buy more food. Also, last time I walked through the produce area, there was a terrible smell. As I got towards the back of the store, I realized it was coming from the fish area. If you need to throw out fish, you should do it when the store is closed. Everything else is fine here.
I am so impressed by this particular Whole Foods that I almost can't even believe it. Every single staff member has been incredibly nice and helpful. From the people on the floor to the staff behind the various counters to the cashiers, I have never had any experience other than stellar. Every person is helpful and kind. I can't say enough good things. Plus, it's enormous, so they have basically everything I ever need.
