Small and cozy – good coffee and affordable $2! Again, very small so might be difficult to get a seat. But if you do its quiet and chill to get some work done. There is a decent amount of traffic but most people take their drinks to go. They do have several outlets and wifi is solid.
I've been on a wifi coffee house rampage in the past few days so will likely keep exploring new places in the area. But this place is worth checking out as the space is nice and the barista is cool. I will likely come back but would advise coming early to ensure a seat.
I love this spot. The coffee is sooooo good. These people clearly actually care about the quality of their beverages. The menu is interesting without being complicated. My favorite thing that I have tried so far is the "Muddy Waters" which is cold brew mixed with chai tea and almond milk. Sounds weird, tastes great! I also had a vegan muffin from here once which was delicious. Super friendly and sweet baristas.
The only reason I don't come here every day is it's super expensive ($4 for a 10 oz cold brew), and they don't always have vegan edible options (usually only one item per day).
I'm actually not a huge coffee drinker so I didn't have much reason to stop in when they first opened. My first opinions were really just thankful they kept their place so nice and planted flowers outside and kind of just added a nice little touch to an otherwise drab block.
That changed pretty much as soon as my mother came to visit and realized I had no coffee. In a matter of two days there were about 5 visits and it was enough to get me sufficiently hooked on their iced soy mocha. I would have kept up the trend but it really is a little pricey ($4.50 for my soy mocha)… pricier than Starbuck's and they only offer one size so unfortunately this will have to be a once in awhile thing.
A nice little stop for your walk to work and a great addition to the hood!
Tried these guys today too. They were on my coffee list. All the right signals were there, links from first rate roasters, a cool stylish new shop, great East Williamsburg location.
So honestly I don't know what was up with the espresso. No crema, watery. Like a b-list shot. Didn't taste burnt mind you, but I was not at all impressed.
I will definitely have to come back and give them a second try. Might have been an off day. The music playing was great, and the barrista guy was super nice. But…
My almond milk latte tasted a little bit like chicken pho. Not altogether a bad thing… but definitely weird. Very weird.
