  1. If I'm paying 4.75~ for a coffee, I want to know that it will be good. As it is, I've only had a good cup of coffee here when it's been made by one barista (i didn't catch her name, but believe she might have had dark shortish hair, whoever you are, thank you girl!)

I can't rationalize recommending this place when any other time I've felt like I've paid too much for a coffee I should have just made at home. I would like to update this review, if you guys will better your quality control, because when it's good, I would certainly give this place 4-5 stars.

  2. The cafe was a cool vibe and i like the aesthetics of the place. What makes me reluctant to go here again is the abundance of smokers. Smokers out in the front. Smokers out in the back. Yuck. I hate second hand smoke. And I know this isn't a one time thing because of the plethora of ash trays.

If you're a smoker, this is the cafe for you. If you, like me, actually care about your lungs and health, go elsewhere.

  3. A very nice quiet atmosphere to enjoy a cup of quality coffee, espresso or whatever your coffee/tea drink of choice.  The staff is calm and friendly preparing drinks with all necessary speed but not in rush.

Looking forward to enjoying the expansion to the back room and the back yard when the weather gets warmer.

I highly recommend Kava Shteeble for its service, quality and ambiance.

  4. I come here all the time, me and my dog. Nice little bench outside to sit on and chill and nice backyard area to do the same thing. Staff is always friendly. When I first lost my dog they actually let me put up posters inside and were helping me stay positive. I love them for their iced chai latte and their warm apple cider. I even come here sometimes even when I'm not getting anything just to relax and be in a calm environment.

  5. Kava Shteeble is this rustic and super hip coffee shop, serving ample amounts of delicious brewed coffee at great prices. Some delicious (Vegan) pastries too.

The decor is super cute. The owner built all the tables himself with wood pieces he found. And they have a great big backyard for the summer time.

I know they also have music gigs by local artists some evenings.

If you need a quiet place to work or study in the Bushwick area, this is the place to be.

  6. Why go anywhere else for a croissant? The fiancé and I decided to explore some new coffee jam spots and he honed in on this one. We came across it easily and were particularly impressed with the design using the reclaimed wood! Nice!
We ordered a large Cold Brew and the Chocolate Almond croissant to stay. We sat down while the croissant warmed up and was hand delivered by the barista.
We enjoyed the croissant as it was creamy chocolatey and decadent for 9:30AM! The iced coffee a huge value for the large.

Ambiance: Ample chill and work spaces but the AC is in the front.

Overall a great addition to the neighborhood and we will be back maybe once or twice a week!

  7. Kava Shteeble is a quick place to grab a coffee on the go during the week and a wonderful place to spend your mornings on the weekends. It's the hippest place in Bedstuy, in my opinion. Their furnishings are made of reclaimed wood. They had just opened the back and yard not too long ago, and it looks like a studio set up for a vintage photo shoot. KS' coffee is simple and delicious. The iced latte is my favorite. Another favorite would be the cheddar chive biscuit. It is simply 'da bomb.' I live a couple of blocks away from here and I visit almost every day. Oh, and the employees are downright awesome.

  8. "Keepin it chill"

I love this place. I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon to do some work and the work space/environment is fantastic. It is quiet enough to do work but not so quiet that you feel an angry librarian will toss you out for being too loud. I loved the "rustic" vibe of the furniture in the back of the shop. I will say that the place may be a little too dark for some people, especially once the sun goes. down. The prices are pretty standard; you will not feel like you are being ripped off purchasing a cafe americano.

I definitely will be back. I just wished that the place stayed open a little later.
