  1. Not my favorite location…

They run out of a LOT of stuff (Often)! Simple things like herbs and garlic. Really?!?

  2. I really wanted to like this store, but it's the worst Whole Foods ever.  Parking was okay. The staff is quite nice (once you get their attention–we're suffering from the usual need to break into their conversations), but it stops there.

The store is dirty.  The rest room is grimy.  And there was a pervasive smell of fish.

The hot bar and the prepared food bar are really, really small and there is no selection of proteins.  This means the salad bar is terribly, terribly overpriced compared with other Whole Foods.

Also, the store prepared guacamole was not put into appropriate containers, so it was already brown on the display.  I'm not even sure how to suggest something better.

  3. I actually meditate and prepare myself to come to this Wholefoods store location.  First, the parking lot is not well-designed for the kind of drivers that come here. It's always like a competition rather than a neighborly feeling. There are some spots in front, a whole row, that should be handicapped parking for both the bed bath n beyond store and whole foods as they share this lot. The carts are all huge, they used to have those smaller carts that work better in this crowded store. There is just no room to make turns and leave your cart while choosing items off the shelf with those large carts. I hardly see anyone fill them anyway!! Plus there are always huge restock carts in the way. The employees can't help it, they are doing their job. It's corporate management. Also, more and more you have to hunt for actual organic produce and other organic items in the store, and when u find them then you pay for it. Really, $1.50 for a gallon of water?  Why, because it's Manhasset?  That all said, there are organic products that do go on sale now and then, the guy in the body care dept really knows his stuff, and they bake on-site, a large selection of non-organic and gluten-y fresh baked goods.

  4. Great place to go for potted herbs. They are often on sale. Also good for great deals, and a wide variety of Kefir (and other fermented dairy products)

I find that many other things here are very over priced. But they do have a very wide selection of health food stuff. If whole foods doesn't have it, it's probably not a popular health food "thing" yet.

Only a few items I've ever been looking for were not there. But then again I'm an alternative medicine freak (chiropractor).

I must say their produce is always very fresh and high quality but still pricey.

Go here if you want top quality, and you are willing to pay a little more to get it.

  5. This Whole Foods is out of place.  Across from the posh Americana mall!  This Whole Foods horrible; it is an embarrassment.  Its more cramped and has less space to maneuver through the alisles than the Whole Foods in NYC.  You'll be constantly bumping into other shoppers.  It will make you want to hate grocery shopping.  What is going on?  Mind you…Manhasset! It is one of "The" affluent areas in Long Island.

    What an embarrassment!

  6. I love whole foods, but this location is squeezed into such a small spot it is really quite difficult to get in and out without stepping on someone's toes.  It only survives because it is the only option nearby.  Parking is also challenging.  They do a good business; always packed.  Plan to be patient. I will keep going, but always with reservations.

  7. Ok. I know everyone loves this place, but personally I think they should change the name to Whole Pay Check.  Its ridiculously expensive. Unless you are a gormet cook and in dire need of  certain rare food items (which are not that rare and can be found in smaller more quaint family owned businesses), its not worth it, not to mention the rude customers. That said, the staff is wonderful and its kept very clean but I will pass next time and go to my local spots and pay half the price.

  8. The worst whole foods I have ever been to anywhere!!!
Wow,  it is absolutely overcrowded. Plus there's no regard for any space that the client needs to look at and browse!
It's like a tug of war everybody is pushing and shoving!
Not even space to check out two carts at the same time in the same aisle it is absolutely the most ridiculous set up I have ever seen.
This is absolutely the last time I go to shop your store in Manhasset you would think with such a hoity-toity crowd and clientele who frequent your  supermarket no instead everyone is rude and entitled.
    I'm out.
