It is a coffee place like all the other coffee places that pop out everywhere. However, for a reason I am not able to articulate I like this one way better than Starbucks.
If Joe is the only quality presence in the Upper West side, then it will need to get its proper due. Most residents in the UWS that care about flavor and the art of coffee brewing would be happy to welcome another Joe location behind the AMC Lincoln Square theater.
This location is the size of a miniature pop-up shop but does offer a few seats and tables inside for laptops and loungers. The coffee and espresso is consistent with other Joe shops around the city. So if you like Joe's Coffee, then this is good news should you be around the area.
YESSSSSS, the Coffee gods must've been listening because I've been praying for a Joe Coffee to open up around me since I'm in love with their iced lattes.
This place is like every other Joe Coffee, delicious. It's also like every other Joe Coffee in the sense that there are few seating options and also 3 baristas who usually work at a time. So if you're running late for work, I'd suggest grabbing it elsewhere UNLESS you're like me and don't care that you are running late.
Not a great place to do work/study but a lovely place to get coffee!
Sugar free vanilla latte extra hot. I get this every time, and its just perfect.
Nothing beats my baby Bold Bean in Riverside, Jax, FL but this was an easy pick for a quick Latte on a Tuesday morning.
This place is very tiny, maybe four small tables total inside. Luckily, there was no line when I arrived so I was in and out quick. They have espresso, Coffee, lattes, etc available.
I went with a Caramel Latte ($4.25). It had that authentic coffee taste where it tastes more like coffee than a sugary dessert, Mmm. Also, the barista makes the beautiful design on top (see picture below).
They use the Square system here so when you run your card if you've used Square before your receipt will automatically be emailed to you. You have the option of a print out too but I prefer to save a tree.
I would definitely come here again. 🙂
Decent coffee, on par with some of the best coffee shops in the city like Birch, Stumptown, Third Rail & 9th Street. Apparently they are on a mission to make the BEST FLAT WHITE in NYC. So do strike a conversation to learn more about their progress.
– Very friendly staff.
– Only proper coffee shop near Lincoln Square.
One of my many New York City dreams came true. A Joe is now in my neighborhood!
And it's super cute. Decidedly the smallest of their Manhattan outposts but no less homey and inviting.
And of course if you are a Joe enthusiast like me, it has everything else you have com to expect – mainly friendliest baristas around and consistently delicious drinks. I have had an americano, cappucino, and mocha from this location and all have been expertly made (but would you expect anything less?)
Yay joe. So happy you are in my neighborhood.
Very modern coffee joint with a wooden set up. It's a decent size and seats about 2 dozen heads. WiFi is available for those Web surfers.
