This Rite Aid is so freaking tiny, it feels a bit claustrophobic. I also didn't feel like it was as airy or clean as the Duane Reade locations in the area. Pricing for clear nail polish was not impressive to me though they did have some iced tea & soda sales comparable to what I see in grocery store circulars in Long Island. Sadly, there's one not far from my house that's nicer than this one.
Oye. I was supposed to be acting like a tourist on my vacation. Instead I was pretending to be a New Yorker (and really enjoying it). Rite Aid was my stop for lip balm and cash back on my first visit. A few days later when I wanted to do my friend's laundry I walked over to get some detergent.
Maybe I'm naive (or maybe I just need one of their Wellness+ cards), but is Tide always that expensive? Hmm… perhaps I'm not the New Yorker I thought I was.
Contrary to most of the other reviews, I had a very positive experience when I visited this store (yesterday). I also found it to be far superior to the Rite Aid that's closest to my apartment and which is much larger than this store, because employees are a big part of the equation for me. In particular, the cashier was a really sweet young guy – and then I complimented the manager, who was *very* nice. Also; the store is cleaner than my local store, and it's well laid-out when considering the space constrictions.
(Update on 10/5/15): Another visit to this store and the cashier was another really nice guy.
Where other Rite Aids failed me, this one came through – with the Neutrogena sunblock stick I had been looking for everywhere. Since it's 0.63 ounces and solid, you definitely won't encounter any heat from the TSA (excellent if you're not planning on checking luggage on your flight to paradise.) It's also rubproof, sweatproof and waterproof but that's a story for another day…
While queuing up to pay for my sunblock stick and a travel size bottle of hand sanitizer, thinking things couldn't get any better, I spotted them – Tear 'N Share (bigger than normal) bags of sour Skittles! I bought two. One to share with my friends at the cinema and the other to take on the plane with me.
Anyone who'll have you believe that all Rite Aids are created equal obviously hasn't been to this location!

Nothing wrong with my visit here.
Saturday afternoon and Folger coffee was in stock.
Lines do get a bit wrong and no AC.
