Gimme! Coffee

“Fell in love with the coffee in Ithaca and as a new Brooklynite, I subway and trek out of my way to get a cup of brew.”

“I've never had a bad cup of coffee or tea there (hot or iced) and they have real, actual chai tea with which to make chai lattes.”

“A vending machine, if you will, with hipsters doing the work instead of mechanical pullies and levers.”

  1. Cute location and great staff, but not a huge fan of their expensive coffee. There's nothing here that really sets them apart from any other place, in terms of their drinks.

Great if it's the only thing in the area and they make your basic drinks. Don't expect anything fancy.

  2. Oh yeah, gimme some coffee!  Nice place to get some quality Joe and do some work in a relatively quiet place with good WIFI. It is a little small but should be able to find a place to hunker down and hang/work.  The coffee is very good – there were a couple options brewing when I was there.

As you can imagine, its kind of a hipster paradise which is nice.  Good vibe, chill staff and service.

  3. If there were a gimme coffee in midtown I would drink their coffee everyday. This place is a coffee lovers dream! There are always lines on the weekends but gimme is worth the wait. I really wish more coffee spots did their coffee as well as gimme does!

  4. Line pretty much snaking out the door on a Sunday morning, you know what is a good sign.

Place was packed, as there is limited seating, can fit about 10 -15 people sitting max. They do have wifi, so people tend to linger.

Was in line for a good 5-10 minutes, but well worth the wait. Cold brew was excellent, no burnt aftertaste. I really should start screening where I drink coffee, it really does make a difference.

Great place to meet up with friends or lovers (or any permutation of that) for a good cup of joe and some good people watching.

  5. I am just…underwhelmed? There are so many other great coffee shops in the neighborhood. Don't get me wrong, you can get a decent cup of coffee here – there is no doubt about that – but every time I come here I find there is nothing to be excited about. The baristas I have talked with were not engaging and the vibe is trashy hipster…meh. I would come back if this was the most convenient shop, but I would not go out of my way for this place.

  6. Delicious iced mocha! Came in here upon my arrival to Brooklyn for a snack and ordered an iced mocha with almond milk. The espresso was perfection and the chocolate was rich. Had to put a tad bit of simple syrup because I wanted it on the sweeter side, but that was just my preference. The barista took his sweet time making my mocha though, but they do have a very laid back aura. Seating is available, but limited (I came here twice and they were always occupied). I also ordered a croissant which was OK, but most likely because I arrived in the evening.
Though not a fan of hot drinks, next time I would like to try their cappuccino which I heard was a fan favorite!

  7. This is the place that turned me onto coffee. I remember my first cappuccino here. It's a high I been chasing ever since.

  8. Great coffee!
If you want strong americano, here's the place to go!
Location: was supposed to go street for the food vendor spot at Williamsburg. But ended up here because I want some coffee

The place is small with limited seating areas. Do have wifi but don't abuse it
    Offer some bakeries as well

I like their coffee beans for sure
