I guess I could consider this Rite Aid small. The selection is not the greatest and limited. Many times you'll find things out of stock and they have not yet replenished them. They have great deals, so definitely pick up a flyer at the entrance because they don't always label the deals next to the items.
I came by to purchase some conditioner and gifts for a friend. I found the assortment neatly arranged and easy to locate. This store was located conveniently right next to the R train at 53rd street. I took off one star because the line was confusing. I was on line, then someone stood on the left, and then another behind me. No one really knew how the line travels, or if we lined up behind each register. I felt kind of lost on that. Other than that, I thought my cashier was nice and friendly. She asked me if I had a Rite Aid card. I realized shortly that I did not. Meanwhile, the line moves fast in spite of not knowing where the end of the line was, but I managed to figure it out.
I usually go to some other stores located closer too me. But when in a pinch this store does the trick. Needing some over the counter anti acid for heartburn this place saved the day. The prices are very reasonable.
This store is not as large as 63rd Street or the one in Bay Ridge. But overall has some basic needs that I have needed before. The que for cashiers is kinda askew. Really people walk up not realizing there is a line towards the left…Hellooooo!! They really need to work on this!!
Overall not bad for a neighborhood with very few drugs stores and reasonable prices!!!
