3 stars for the actual store. It's actually a really nice Rite Aid. It's bright, clean, and the makeup/beauty section is pretty modern and up to date. It resembles the Manhattan displays with the clear, lucite light up cases and fancy makeup displays. The floors really stuck out to me for some odd reason, perhaps since they were super clean and resembled laminated wood. Very nice touch. They had a cute display in the front of the store with a canopy and outdoor furniture. Again nice touch. So why 3 stars? Oh those lovely old lady cashiers. They were hilarious because they couldn't give a shit less who was waiting or how long. Since I was there at 9am and there were literally 4 customers in the store, you would think it would be an easy in and out correct? Heh. I got on the line, with one lady at the register. Her checkout is going quite smooth, what with only 2 items she had purchased. The lovely older lady cashier proceeds to tell her that she has the old Rite Aid card, does she want the new one? Oh ok, that should be quick right? Heh. 10 minutes later, I'm still standing on the line struggling to hold all my items (that laundry detergent bottle is no joke). So another older lady cashier comes and starts messing around on the register and the lady behind me asks if she is open and then lady straight up ignored her! I almost busted out laughing. The waiting didn't bother me, I really just thought the whole situation was comical. So the lady behind me walks off, and 2 minutes later I am called to the register, where my lovely older lady asks me if I am next. For real?! There is no one in front or behind me!!! I just had to laugh. The rest of the transaction was typical, but really? I just came here because it was on my way home. Will I come back? Probably just for kicks.
Rite aid was one of my favorite. When I was in BKLYN, I always got some night snack. Very convenient and open for 24. People are nice and helpful.
