Have been looking forward to trying this spot since I moved to the area. What an unnecessarily disappointing experience. When I walked in another patron kindly informed me that despite the awning, Lasani does not serve Chinese food. She was reassured that I enjoy South Asian food and made a few suggestions. Let me be clear: this patron was about 100x more helpful than the woman behind the counter. The proprietress ignored me for an easy 3-5 minutes, walking back and forth from what I thought was the hot bar (more on that in a moment) to the kitchen without so much as a glance. I felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome. There's no written menu and no prices posted anywhere so I had to go a bit on faith and instinct. Ended up with a 1/2 portion of chicken korma ( 1/2 pint, does not come with rice) and 1/2 portion of chicken biryani. $4 each, really inexpensive. Headed home, ready to grub and dug into ICE COLD chicken and rice. Is this normal? Does she heat it for other people but not offer to for me? When heated, the flavor was good but chicken was mostly scrap cuts, lots of bones and cartilage.

Average food, good price, terrible service.
