We loved this place as a hangout spot. Not sure how long it's been here but we wished we knew about it sooner so we can get away from the main parts of Williamsburg. This area is much less congested with the weekend crowds, probably due to the lack of subways nearby. Nonetheless, the hipster Willysburg vibe is not far away and the prices reflect that. Definitely not a cheap coffee/tea spot, but it's definitely not a boring one either.
This location is huge (especially compared to most other LIC Sweetleaf locations and other local coffeeshops) but when I went on a weekday late afternoon, almost every seat was full with folks typing away on their laptops. Some had finished their drinks a long time ago, but Sweetleaf doesn't force you to buy a new item or anything. I've had their iced coffee and espresso drinks at the LIC locations, but was already pretty well caffeinated and gave the strawberry iced tea a try. Needless to say, it was delicious. I ended up sipping on it for a long time in the couch seat I had procured and charged my work tablet, so I guess I can feel the appeal of staying put here. Service was friendly and fast enough. If I have to kill some time in Greenpoint again, I'd definitely stop in.
