  1. I HATE this Rite Aid with a passion!  The one near Cypress Avenue is bigger, has more selection, is cleaner and has some ventilation.  I've gone to this one in the summer and felt hot.  Lines also tend to get long here.  This used to be an Eckerd when I first moved here & a homeless guy would hang out in front of this location to beg for money.

Brandon is right on the money about the carpet.  It makes this place look more trashy than it should.  I also gave up on ever getting prescriptions here ages ago since they never had even basics in the pharmacy.  Trust me, the one near Cypress is better though they also never have basic prescription items.

  2. Ugh. So, went in here to buy condoms. I was on a mission.
The condoms were shielded by one of those plastic barriers that somehow prevent stealing. Lifted the barrier to grab my box and this alarm goes off!
Great, now all of the 60-year old Polish people that share my local pharmacy know that I prefer the variety pack, great.

Head up to the cashier. Pay for my overpriced box of condoms.
Head out the door. ANOTHER ALARM GOES OFF.
Ok, I get it. Crazy cooky kids want nothing more than to steal condoms from Rite Aid. But can you please spare the rest of us our dignity? Two alarms? Really?
    Give me a break.

I do like the $1 section though (although the Rite Aid on Fresh Pond does have a larger selection). Good for stocking up on snacks.

  3. I'm not a fan of rite aid's pharmacy drop off & wait times. The customer service is lackadaisical and hardly any effort on their part to process your prescriptions in a timely manner although eventually they do get it done. What's improved here is the lighting the shelving and overall look and feel of the place.

Still they operate at bare minimum and security follows you around with a wary eye upon entering and shopping at this location but who's eyeing the long lines at the everyday shoppers checkout in the front ? No one that's who! I'm writing this review to call
attention to the management procedures and for the simple fact that more than one cashier should be ringing with such long lines that are comprised of customers who have questions on end which drags on the walk in, shop and check out process unnecessarily. You would think after all these years an assessment and better process would be put into place by now but nope same old dreaded long lines with one ringing cashier for the past 5 years.

I shop in here for location and convenience but much prefer Duane Reade over Rite Aid but alas I've got lazy days so this will do but still much improvement is needed in the pharmacy section and the frontline cashier section for those of us not dropping off or picking up a prescription but shopping for other goods.

Hope your listening Mr Rite Aid because this just isn't right!
