Eileen's cheesecakes are indeed special! They are very light, which is not what you'd expect from a cheesecake. Nonetheless, they are delicious.
Be sure to post a selfie with your cheesecake on Instagram so you can get a free one! They have a great variety of flavors so you'll definitely want to take advantage of this opportunity to try two flavors. Or even better yet, bring a friend with you so you can try four flavors!
My friend and I shared with each other so I got to try the plain, strawberry, salted caramel, and pumpkin cheesecakes. Every single one of them was fantastic. It'll just come down to personal preference when trying to rank them against each other.
So which cheesecake is better: Eileen's or Junior's? I can't answer that question because they are different styles. All you need to know is that both are great and you shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to try either of them.
OMG! Soooo freaking good. Their cheesecakes are so soft…they just melt in your mouth. Got 4 minis, coffee, chocolate, strawberry and Oreo. Also bought the 4 flavor special pie which I haven't tried yet. I devoured the strawberry mini in seconds lol! It was just so good! They have so many flavors there to choose from. Usually cheesecakes tend to be on the harder side, but these are really soft. Might be a preference thing also. Some people appreciate cheesecakes a little harder so you can be the judge of that. The minis are $3.75 each and for the 4 flavor cheesecake pie, it's $21 for 6 inches and $45 for 10 inches.
Loved it! The place was recommended to me a by a friend and I was not disappointed. They have tons of different flavors: caramel, red velvet, pumpkin… The ones we tried were delicious. Don't hesitate to schedule a stop there if you need a sugar fix, knowing that they of course do take away!
This spot is pretty legit! I love the single sized cheesecakes and the different varieties. The original and red velvet were my favorite.
Honestly one of the best cheesecake I've ever had. Every small place located in the middle of nowhere. Very limited seating. If you're craving for some good cheesecake, this is the place to go! There are small ones to share so you can try more!
I can call myself an Eileen's authority, since I recently bought a sampler for a birthday party and therefore tasted a dozen different flavors. Verdict: Eileen's is superior across the board. Very light and not super-sweet. Creamy but not delicate.
[You might have to search for said sampler, as they don't highlight it on their menu. It comes to you out of the freezer but warms up quickly.]
The shop itself is tiny and filled with tourists. I don't know how the staff stays so friendly and even serene under these conditions. Maybe a sugar high?
Oh goodness… what can't I say about Eileen's that hasn't already been said in all of these wonderful reviews? It's just amazing, and from a cheesecake lover such as myself, that really says quite a bit already!
If you're in the SoHo area and are looking for baked goods, you have to seek this place out. I think I've been back three times in one week! The size is perfect for one person and if you're on the go. Eileen's also serves party sized cakes if you're looking to share with 3-5 people. What amazes me is the variety of flavors that they offer. You can go through this entire menu and basically want to order every single cheesecake that they have.
The service is friendly and extremely efficient as well! Props to everyone behind the counter that made our visit such a wonderful experience. Hope to be back again soon!
No reason to go anywhere else. These mini cheesecakes are perfect for sharing. Order a couple different flavors to get the full experience. Salted caramel is the best!
