  1. Cute little farm market on Carroll Street.
Local grown fruits, veggies, greens, even meat and preserves.
Also info on green energy, compost and recycling.
    Open on Sundays only.
Awesome, definitely great stop for fresh produce.

  2. Have you ever had a "burpless" cucumber? Me neither, but you better believe I bought one here on Sunday. According to the vendor, they are skinless, seedless, and I'll never go back to a regular cucumber after I eat it. Even though I haven't yet figured out what to do with it, I always had a sneaking suspicion that I was too good for ordinary cucumbers.

In addition to cucumbers that don't belch, you can also find the following at the Carroll Gardens Greenmarket:

Tasty turkey sausage/burgers (and other items) from DiPaolo's.
Sinus-clearing wasabi pickles (and other items) from Divine.
Crusty ciabatta (and other items) from Bread Alone.
Whole chickens, primed for roasting. Duck bacon and/or rillettes.
All manner of greens, beans, nuts, mushrooms, cheese, eggs, flowers and other plants.

And the real draw, that isn't at any other area markets (as far as I know): Grazin' Angus. Their beef isn't cheap by any means, but it's grassfed and finished, and it's excellent if you can afford to indulge. (That's really the only drawback of Grazin' Angus, and this market as a whole…shit's expensive.) Ground angus ($8/lb) is a bit more affordable than the steaks (even skirt steak was like $22/lb). Also, the guy is very friendly, and a fan of the Mets, which goes a long way.

I have been happy with every purchase I've made so far. So I think you should come here and buy delicious items from the vendors. Because the more you support the market, the more awesome vendors will show up. Therefore, by spending money here, you will really be increasing my quality of life. Sure, it'll be good for the whole neighborhood and the food industry in general, but let's be honest: I'm the one that really matters.
