  1. Oh dear god, please save me from this food. Its so aweful it shouldn't be called food!!!! I wasted my $7 on this so called food today and I am so disappointed that i want to let everyone know. I chose to get okra and daal. The okra looked like snot because they don't even know to never cook okra with water ( that's basic cooking knowledge). Anyway, i asked for spicy rice thinking it will be like biryani but it was some weird tasting rice cooked in chilli. All in all, food and money went to waste, never going back to that cart again.

  2. My first visit, the owner (who is incredibly charming and wonderfully generous) was training a new employee, he said emphatically, "fill each container to the top, always make the customer happy" and he also said eloquently "animals are more honest than humans, they cannot hide behind masks" (He saw that I walking my beloved pooch). The food was good, and I couldn't wait to return. However, after each subsequent visit, I have not been particularly pleased or enthused. The owner hasn't been there (he really is an asset), the portions are skimpy, and the same fellow (the new employee) consistently charges me an extra couple dollars more than the prices on the menu!

  3. I decided to give this food cart a try since I was in the mood for something cheap and I saw they were offering chicken vindaloo that day.  I wish I could say the food was excellent, I really could.  The two guys in the cart were friendly and the meal only came to $8 but for $8, I expected more.

The chicken was very good and flavorful but the portion was TINY.  I know, I know, we're supposed to watch portions and I typically do but this was ridiculously small.  They gave me a ton of rice, which while tasty, really didn't hit the spot.  The Thai truck and the Pie truck both nearby are $6 for a lot more food that is also a lot more filling.  I would come here for the samosas but definitely not for one of their $7 or $8 meals.

  4. No. No, no, no, no, no.

How these other people could give this place 4 or 5 stars, I don't know. All I know is that my $9 combo lunch was the worst Indian food I've ever had in my life. Yes I know it sounds like I'm being dramatic, but I assure you, I am not. My college cafeteria had better Indian food than this.

Combo plate of Chicken Tikka Masala and I believe something that's supposedly Veggie Jalfrezi. Their basmati rice and dal were ok, best part of the meal, sadly. The chicken came out to be obviously food coloring stained pink pieces in what was basically a pool of pink water. I should have just stopped myself right then and walked away, but I was feeling kind so I kept going. The jalfrezi was again, a sad pile of cheap mixed vegetables in yellowish water. Portion wise, it's alright.

The pictures of food on the cart look fantastic, and now I know they definitely used stock photos.

  5. The first bite that I had from Mysttik Masaala completely sold me! As I was waiting for food from a nearby truck, I got to try a samosa and it was delicious! It was big and perfectly spicy and sold at a great price (2 for $3).

I promised him I'd be back the next day to try the vindaloo and I'm so glad I kept my word. The vindaloo was delicious! It came with dal and basmati rice + an optional topping of cilantro, red onions, and spicy stuff. Everything was delicious, I could've eaten a big bowl full of the plain rice.

I will be back soon to try the bhel puri that other people are mentioning.
