  1. Decent spot to grab a healthy smoothie post-spin class at CYC. Love that it isn't too far away and that at 7:30pm, the smoothies are made fairly quickly. You can choose to add sweetener (agave or dates or none) and you can choose between almond, soy, or hemp milk for the smoothies that require you to decide. My faves are: Mr. Greengenes (mango, banana, nut milk, spinach, kale, no sweetener) and Joyful Almond (nut milk, almond butter, cacao nibs, banana, frozen coconut milk). If you don't add anything, these will set you back on average $8.66.

  2. Confession: I love juice generation!  Sure it's uber expensive for a smoothie ($7-$10) but nothing makes me feel better and more  lively after traveling than one of their green concoctions. Last time I had the "Green Guardian" at the midtown east location; this time I had the "professional". This store is super small with no real seating but its clean as ever and staff is friendly.   I've yet to try the acai bowls (1 day!). They also have whole coconuts for coconut water in their cases.

  3. I always find myself here when I'm sick. The warm juices/teas are so comforting. Ginger Fix and Cold Blast Warrior are always my favorite. A shot of The Defender always gets me back up and kicking again.

  4. Had acai bowls with a large group after taking a soul class together (high #basic levels achieved bright and early on Saturday morning) – we were so happy we stopped here after!

We were famished after our somewhat (read: very intense) spin class. Given I don't spin very much, I was really excited to refuel with Juice Generation!

I got the PB Acai bowl – for around $10, it was delicious. A generous portion size (easily can substitute as a post workout meal / heavy snack) topped with peanut butter, banana, and granola. My bf tried the watermelon smoothie – also delicious with great watermelon / berry flavors. I would prefer it to be a bit thicker, but it still hit the spot.

When we're back in town, we will be back!

  5. I went to the 9th Ave location today. I ordered the Amazing Green bowl ($10.95) which is acai, avocado, spinach, kale, and almond milk. It is topped with blueberries, banana, hemp seeds, and hemp granola! The staff is friendly and quick. The prices might seem high but everything is made with quality products and is very filling. They have many options to choose from on their menu. It is not the place to go and hangout. There is no seating and it is a very small space. Even smaller than some of their other locations. They are usually busy but they are also so quick. I love to go to this place when I need a healthy, light, and filling lunch! Their bowls are packed with good nutrients. They also sell juice cleanse pre packs, single juices, shots of rejuvenating mixes and many vegan, natural and heathy treats! I always come back to this location as much as possible. Postmates will deliver! 🙂

  6. Juice in the morning makes me feel refreshed. Freshly squeezed and heartily prepared, JG served a variety of flavors with both small and large sizes. I opted for the Supa Dupa green juice, with kale, cucumber, spinach and my favorite, apple. Very tasty!

  7. I love this place! It's my new Go To in this area for green juice/acai bowls and everything fresh juice related. Oh and yes, they even make smoothies too!

They also have shots in the fridge (like, healthy power kicked green shots). Each one is ~$4.

    Drinks.
"The Professional". I think the ginger was a bit strong for me but it was still delicious.

The juice $1 difference in the 12 oz and 20 oz.

they also have cute little coconuts with straws in them ready to grab and go! So smart.. They have the larger sized coconuts as well.

  8. On my way back to the Port Authority, I was looking for something refreshing to drink.

Juice Generation was a spot I had bookmarked for some time so I stopped by and enjoyed their "I Heart Watermelon" drink.

The drink was very refreshing and cooling with some nice fresh flavors from all those fruits (listed as having watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries).

In hindsight this drink does have a fair amount of sugar at 31 grams (which at least are natural fruit sugars), but is only 180 calories.

Note there is no seating inside, with the only pseudo sitting area being a small bench like area right by the entrance.
