  1. Dropping this down to 1 star.

They do not have enough staff to make breakfast – full stop.

You can wait upwards of 15 minutes to get a bacon egg and cheese in the morning and it is completely unacceptable for such mediocre food. They allow people to order 15+ items at a time, but the poor two guys behind the counter can't keep up, and the line will snake 10+ people deep. Avoid avoid avoid.

  2. Everything is outrageously expensive. They also have an $8 credit card minimum. The hot food especially is overpriced, but it's one of the cheapest options in the area. While the staff has always been nice to me, I've heard a lot of people complain about their rude or abrupt service.

On the plus side the guys behind the deli counter are always nice, and they do make good bagels. When you order make sure to grab a bagel from the display to give to the guy as they don't keep them behind the counter.

Also keep in mind this isn't a farmers market. You'll find some basic fruits and vegetables here. They have a pizza station (the bacon slice is a solid choice), a sushi station (the sushi is surprisingly edible), hot food (lots of Chinese American stuff, decent teriyaki), two salad bars with hot and cold food, and the deli/bagel counter. Then there's things like cheeses, hummus, sausages, toiletries, coffee, flowers, etc. It's like a very, very nice convenience store….that breaks your wallet 😛

  3. Great selection for lunch time–one of the more affordable places in the area that doesn't sacrifice variety. Sushi, noodle bar, pizza, made-to-order sandwiches, premade sandwiches, cheese, groceries (get that one-pound bag of pretzels for your desk, and a thing of Hummus to eat in one sitting), salad bar, hot food bar, fruit bar, etc. Not cheap, but okay by NYC standards.

There's an $8 credit card minimum, which isn't hard to meet–a salad with a good amount of toppings will definitely cover it.
