Located on the south end of the Oval just a few yards north of the 14th Street Loop, this market provides a lot of convenience for residents in or around Stuyvesant Town. It is a smaller market with about 10 stands, give or take a few. But you'll find some of the same farmers and producers that are at the Union Square Greenmarket like Beth's Farm Kitchen, Migliorelli, and B & Y Farms. While there's plenty of foot traffic from people on their way somewhere, the market is not overly crowded and I find that I can comfortably shop and get around quickly.
I could have sworn that the market was open on a few Saturdays during the summer as well, but it's now just back on Sundays with the weather getting cooler. Look forward to see if the market will expand and what other vendors may show up.
