  1. Went for the Yelp Elite Event today, and beautiful venue and fun place to relax and let your creative juices flow in making your ice cream masterpiece

Funky toppings such as #goldflakes, #hotpepperflakes #rosepetals #poprocks, funky fun toppings as well as classic toppings

great spot to cool off after long walk shopping in soho

  2. Fanciest ice cream parlor yet! Creamy perfection of ice cream. Hand dipped in succulent chocolate. Toppings of your choosing, including literally gold flakes. Yes. Gold. I had vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate with sea salt and chile, and also rose petals, but I liked the simplicity so much, that I would bypass the rosies next time. Very personable dippers who make genuine conversation. Want to be ultra fancy, but don't have a giant budget? This is the perfect place for you. Take your special someone on a special date here so you can brag about it to your coworkers or mom.

  3. WaaaAy overpriced for what you get but it is a fun experience.

They pull a prewrapped ice cream bar (vanilla or chocolate – your choice) and let you choose 3 toppings (some classic ones like cookie crumbles and butterscoth crunchies and some wild ones like chili powder and goji berries) plus your chocolate shell (vanilla, milk, or dark chocolate).

Overall you'll pay around $8 a bar that's a bit too small to split with anyone. Be indulgent and get one for yourself.

Tip: if you use the yelp checkin for a free topping be warned it isn't one of their NICE toppings, it's small cut up pieces of cotton candy (yep the bright blue pieces). It's weird.

  4. I recently visited Magnum as part of a Yelp Elite event.  The space itself is beautiful and spacious and designed as a grab and go environment, but there is seating available. I think the "bar" is a great set up for playful creations. I felt the selections were varied and I appreciated the ability to choose both coatings and toppings.  The staff were very pleasant. This is definitely a destination for a special treat, either after dinner, during a date, or sweet for after lunch. It's quite decadent.  It's on the pricer end but it's good quality.  I'd come again if I were in the area and feeling indulgent.

  5. Incredible dessert place for Magnum ice cream lovers!  The customizing bar is fantastic and makes it fun. Chocolate baths are plenty and sweet. You'll have so many topping options, you wouldn't know what to do with it. For anyone who loves chocolate, this us the place to be.

  6. I'm surprised that this is only a pop-up shop because the interior is so gorgeous and it seems like it would be sad to just pack all of it away. There are tons of sparkling decorations and it just feels very luxe. They even have cute mini backdrops for you to take a photo of your ice cream – one of which resembles James Goldcrown's #Lovewall (you know, the graffiti heart mural in SoHo that everybody takes Instagram photos of.)

Once we got in line, they had to wrap the line around so that standing space wouldn't be compromised. Shortly after, the line started going out the door and they had to wait for people to leave before allowing more to come in. Although the line was long, it did move quickly.

You first pay then choose up to three toppings. Once they've placed all your toppings in a container, you move to the dipping station. You then get to watch them craft your very own magnum ice cream bar with your choice of chocolate or vanilla ice cream dipped with milk, white, or dark chocolate. You also have the option to drizzle your ice cream bar with even more chocolate.

I ended up with a vanilla ice cream bar (they had run out of chocolate ice cream) dipped in dark chocolate with goji berries, culinary rose petals, edible gold flakes, Himalayan sea salt (which doesn't count as a topping), and a white chocolate drizzle. My combination was equally as tasty as it was beautiful. The sea salt complimented the dark chocolate nicely and I enjoyed the flavor of the goji berry and rose petals together. The gold flakes served no purpose aside from presentation but if you're going to pay $7 for an ice cream bar you might as well choose to put gold on it.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I be willing to go here regularly? Probably not. I will say it was worth trying this ultra photogenic bougie ice cream as a one time treat.

  7. Ummmm super fun idea… Looks really pretty… Great photo and boomerang ops… Buuuuuut… Sorry man it's OD. Super sweet and OD on the toppings. I got rose petals, almonds, and Himalayan salt with dark chocolate dip and drizzle…. Then topped it with the special Yelp elite event topping POP ROCKS!!! Just wish they put a little less of everything. The rose petals are super perfume-y so if there wasn't as much on there it would've tasted great and same with the salt…. Salt should always be SPRINKLED on not drowning in. But maybe that's just my preference, less is always more to me. Cool idea and fun to watch and try once. Probably best it's a pop up. Def go and check it out but it's super decadent so maybe share with a friend… Or two.

Will say it again though for you social media lovers AWESOME photo ops!! Hash tag away selfie generation!

  8. Came to check out the hype… we were lucky and had no line when we walked in on a Thrusday night at 7:30pm. They did run out of chocolate ice cream and was told they are making it this weekend. I got the vanilla ice cream (the only other option), with dark chocolate coating, granola, rose petals and gold flakes, with dark chocolate drizzle and the chocolate logo. The rose petal and gold flakes are the ultimate combination for pictures. It is so pretty. The rose petals tasted exactly how you would expect: rosey taste and chewing on a soft piece of… petal. The vanilla ice cream is alright, not the best. Really nice decorations and super bling.
