Cute, bright coffee spot. Pretty quiet and spacious. The coffee was pretty good but very small in size.
There are only two outlets though and I made the mistake of getting an egg salad wrap. It was overpriced and nasty af that I didn't even finish it despite my hunger. I would not recommend getting food here. They looked pretty bad to begin with. Judge a food item by its display.

One of my favorite places to come to! Regardless if it's for a simple coffee or pastries, it is the go to place for quality baked goods and coffee! FIKA in Sweden is a break in ones day when they can go grab coffee or a pasty with a friend or coworker or loved one- even if it's during work hours! I think America should adapt the same policy and allow for a FIKA break!! I am always happy to go to any FIKA location around the city! Always leave happy 🙂

Stopped by here for a delicious matcha latte! The ambience inside is clean, bright and designed with sleek lines. Very spacious coffee shop and a nice place to get some work done. Love all the displays filled with classic Swedish snacks and treats. The matcha latte is made with almond milk by default, so be sure to let the barista know if you'd like otherwise!
Modern decor, spacious setting, decent food and beverage selection, friendly barista, non-stop daydream iTunes, free-wifi and plenty of A/C. What more do you need?

ain't life a muthaFIKA–when you find a business that is actually adhering to its philosophy and not just printing it on a website? KUDOS.
the iced matchas are outta this world. i take mine matcha + water + half ice + plus some simple syrup. delicious. FIKA uses a premium blend of matcha (PANATEA). no dairy or dairy subs–i've made this a "thing" at this location: tourists be copycats. lol
PRO TIP: if you like Matcha, order it here. PANATEA is a great brand and a small bag costs like $300. quality.
FIKA is a Swedish-based coffee/eatery that has been opening locations throughout NYC. their philosophy of not sacrificing quality comes through in the their coffee, tea, baked goods, and prepared savory eats (like sandwiches). i really like the $1 brownie bites–tiny but the perfect amount of brownie. try one–you will be converted then you can start saying NO to those concrete block sized ones that are making your butt look like a giant bag of lard. ha
the cookies are good. i like the mud slide–which the cookies were less crunch and more soft and chewy.
the POWER or homemade cookie candybars are awesome. The speculoos is awesome–it speculoos cookie butter on a crunch wafer covered in chocolate. Effing amazing.
if you need protein on the go, they even sell hard-boiled eggs.
there is a great sandwich selection that you can panini or eat cold. the sandwiches change every so often.
aside from coffee, tea, and other soft beverages…i do believe they have wine and beer behind the counter on tap. haven't tried them but if you want to get light boozy with your eats…you have a couple of options.
the decor? clean to the eye. a bit stark, but i like it! looks so clean, airy, and uncluttered. simple seating arrangement. brightly lit by natural light and good lighting above. quiet enough to work in. a/c works pretty well in here, so great to hide from the summer heat in here.
PRO TIP: always get a receipt. there's a wifi code on it
there are bathrooms as well. there's a code on the doors. just ask the staff.
the staff? super nice. friendly. and always helpful. one person is typically handling the registering and drink-making, so lines can build up during the morning crush.
chains are aight as long as they are run with a greater goal in mind: customer and quality first in a coffee-centric lifestyle.
stop FIKA-ing around and give these Swedes' coffee, teas, and eats a whirl.
