Gimme! Coffee

“The times that I have been in here I have been able to satisfy my coffee urges and I quite think it's better than OSLO down the street.”

“Yes, it is a bit expensive, and hence I wonder how hipsters could afford it, but I'm all for it.”

“And beautiful benches outside.”

  1. Great coffee. Sort of a weird sitting space. Not as comfortable as other Gimme's, I felt — not sure I'd want to stay here for a long time. But I could easily catch up with a friend here and be caffeinated at the same time.

  2. Underwhelming to say the least. I really wanted to like this place.
Well, I do like the place, the energy is awesome and a great place to kill some time.
But, the cold brew was a letdown. Tasted water down and had no flavor.
I'll give it another shot at another location, but this place didn't really hit the pre-yoga spot.

  3. I really love this location of gimme coffee. Here are reasons why I love this coffee shop:
    – The staff is fantastic. Kudos to whoever hired the staff. They're never grumpy or mean even though it is 7 o'clock in the morning. They're very friendly and easy to talk to. It's really nice and rare to find baristas that aren't cynical and jaded by life.
    – I moved down the block from this location of gimme coffee so it's nice having a place to go to that's solid and close.
    – Their cappuccinos are so well done here that you don't need to dump any sweeteners in it.
    – The prices are really great for how high quality their coffee is. Albeit it's a small serving but I'll do quality over quantity any day.

    Two thumbs up!

  4. This place is great – all around.  It does not have a lot of seating but worked out well for me.  I lived a block away from this Gimme! Coffee and came here very often (understatement).  Great coffee – the standard and fancy stuff – but also the service/staff is great.  A good place to work for a few hours, outlets for those that need power and usually good music playing.  Great location close to the Bedford L.

  5. This cafe actually makes their dry cappacinos dry.

  6. Dis coffee is as good as it gets mon! Tis prefect as a digestive after me doubles or roti know ah mean?! No they don't do dark roasts and yes it is very citrusy and light. They have mastered the art of roasting each varietal to highlight it's unique flavor, as opposed to burning the bean which gives it the generic coffee taste we're used too. They could use a generic dark roast but everybody else does that. I think the cold brew could be darker but whatevs folks, it's just coffee and they the best! Me wine on the cortado!

  7. Damn fine coffee. Unfortunately it's tiny as a tea cup inside, so there's little chance of getting a seat unless the weather is so magical no one can bear to stay indoors.

Regardless, I haven't tasted better coffee in Brooklyn. Plus, the staff are friendly and clearly care about their craft.

  8. The cold brew is decent, but the staff is excellent and the space is super clean. I always like to walk by and see the art on their signs too.
