  1. This supermarket is like the Wal-Mart of sheepsheadbay. There's all sort of food on sale each week . all fresh and at a cheap price too. I enjoy coming here to pick up groceries or snacks every week. Staff and customer service desk are all friendly.
They have a self checkout station where I don't have to wait for slow cashiers to check my stuff out but do it myself.
Their deli department has fresh deli meats and often offer samples when you are unsure of what to buy.
They are open early and close late too so it is pretty convenient for me to go almost anytime of the day.

  2. Me and my father used to spend quite a lot time to recycle here when I used to work in a cafe 🙂 I used to collect the soda cans and water bottles and then we would make $5-10 to deduct from our shopping. Good old days 🙂 We still do but only household ones. They have 4-5 machines for cans and a couple for glass. Go green!

Store itself is quite big. I do not recall anything we could not find here. They always give coupons for your next visit. Ice cream and beer sections are my favorite. They have ' Talenti '. $4 a pint it was on sale and we bought 11 boxes 🙂 They also have bakery section, hot – cold food, fried chicken etc.

Only negative thing is the lines. Always packed. Cashiers help you to fill your bags to fasten the process but helps up to a point.

  3. Came to pick up some cold cuts and other items. Cold cut computer system they have in place doesn't work and the guy behind the counter is super slow. I don't think he even knows what a pound is.

  4. Love this store as my secondary and third options.

Prices are good from time to time but they do the transition of a sales week at weird times.

There have been plenty of times when I have came in here in the evening the next weeks sales price was already under the item but that was not the price for that day rather the following day. Got me a bit frustrated.

Other than that the prices are fair and lots of their 2 for $5 deals are great. I usually come in expecting to spend $40-50 and end up spending $90-100 dont know if this makes you happy or not but thats primarily because I look for good deals.

You make your own decision but please be sure to comment back and let me know how it went!!!!

  5. I am satisfied with this supermarket. I like their Rotisserie chicken for 5.99 a pop.  It's soft, and there's plenty, but make sure you know what time they're made because those chickens go fast! Lately, there have been many changes and aisle relocations, but it is fairly easy to navigate the store. Huge selection of veggies in the front of the store, and there is a great selection of vegan products in the first aisles. The store is clean and the staff helpful if you need help finding something, for the most part. Sometimes, I can't find a soul to direct me where the frozen Tiki Masala wraps are! I am not exactly thrilled about some of the prices, but hey, you get what you pay for.

  6. The female at the customer service desk was fantastic. At my checkout, the cashier packed my Haagen Dazs and my salsa in a bag and flung it to the corner so after I paid and reloaded my bags into the cart, I accidentally left my ice cream and salsa.

I got home and started packing. A girl knows when her ice cream is missing! I called customer service and she told me to come in. Everything was dealt with and I got my items. She was professional and made my bad experience a good one.

  7. A supermarket close to my apartment. Very convenient!  Everything that I need for home cooking & cleaning supply is here. Stuff are friendly & nice. If you have a car they have a big parking space too.

  8. Went on a fruitless search for mistletoe here.  This one seems okay for a Stop & Shop in NYC.  No nastiness or sloppiness from what I saw here.  I'd come back.
